Sanyo 5600 Resetting Bug! [Archive]

:eek: I am not sure why my Sanyo 5600 keeps resetting!
It sometimes resets and turns back on when I am playing
mp3s. It also reset when I had it in my pocket! Its starting to
piss me off! This is the 2nd one since I bought the Phone
last week! :huh: Has any one else had this problem??
Thanks for all your input!

PS-I hope this is fixed when a Software Update comes out!

If you just bought it, take it back under the 14 day return policy for exchange. Seems like its a problem with your phone only from what the others are saying.

Well, I am thinking it is just a bug with the media player!

I play my media player about 2 hours a day...mine hasnt reset...I think it might be a tad bit early to call it a wide spread bug....just yet.....

Mine reset once when exiting the media player... I went back into the same file I was playing and exited again and haven't had any problems since... only the one time did it do that.

you only get those options on the med and low options, not the megapixel option.

back on topic, mine hasn't reset playing the media player either.

but i hate it when i get a new text message because it skips to the next song. anyone else's do this when you get a new text msg?

I'll have to test on mine, but when I get an SMS while watching a video, it pauses it

I just tested mine...playing a mp3..sent a text message to myself....the test messaged icon come on the screen and the media player kept jammin Anthony Hamilton.

When I receive a text message while jammin' to my tunes, the envelope pops up just like MsRandall describes. Too bad you have to EXIT the media player to read the message. :(

I also don't like how you have to scroll FILE BY FILE in the media player. I have over 200 MP3s on my miniSD and I wish it would let you jump through the list similar to the way you can jump through the phonebook by using the keypad in alpha-mode.

Seems like Sprint/Sanyo rushed this to the market without really giving much thought to the functionality of the media player. Perhaps a software update can address these and other existing minor issues.

One thing I just noticed is you can allow the MP3 player to play the songs randomly. I hadn't noticed this before and think it's a pretty cool feature.

one fix for you for now would be make subfolders...
%minisd%\media\subfolder1
%minisd%\media\subfolder2
%minisd%\media\subfolder3
and so on...

you get some extra options, like "random in this folder" etc...

hey the problem i have with my phone is sometimes when i take a picture and its not in "auto save to MINI-SD" it RESETS!!!! and it doesn't even save it! Also when i try to download anything.... a game it gets to 100% then "proseesing download" or w/e and IT RESETS!!! and its like i never would have downloaded anything!!! Do you know if i just take it to the sprint store and tell them to fix the firmware it wil be ok?
