Currently my name is on the main account with my parents under me with the add-a-phone option. If I were to switch the name on the main account to my mother's so that I'd be under her along with my dad, would I still be able to call in to add options and such at a later date or would my mother have to do that? I forget what the exact switching is called, anyone recall? Also the account is automatically billed to my credit card... would this be affected?

Transfer of liability. Generally, if you have the phone number, account holders name and password they will let you. If you want to make sure, you have them put a red flashing note on the account that your authorized to make changes.
Seems to me, if you have each phones caller ID have the owners name on it that they just ask your name and the account holders name. They can see what the "caller ID" name is and see your "on" the account.
As long as you live at the same address you would most likely just have to sign back up for it, the CC billing that is.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply! Am I correct in that the transfer of liability requires signing forms? Any idea of the odds of Sprint messing something up high amongst these types of changes?

My GF and I went family share, and it required those forms. My credit wasn't good enough to add her to my plan, so she had to add me to hers.
You *will* have to go to a Sprint Store.

You are correct, you have to do it at a sprint store and bring ID too! fairly painless process though.
