I made a few .m4a ringers for my 5600 and they all end up being pretty large.
They are 30 seconds long and I saved them in 48bit stereo. They end up being about 176kb on my computer and 226kb after I download them to my phone. Is there a way to get the files down to a smaller size, like around 50kb?

Yep ... shorten them up a little, like to 20 seconds, then save the bit rate down a little ... like, try 32 then 24 ... then check what works better for you.

The lowest bitrate both of my music editors allow is 48 bit stereo. I am using Nero Wave Editor and DbPowerAmp.

Don't use DB Power amp to convert them. Use Quicktime Pro, my 30 sec AAC ringers are very loud, high quality and avg 50-70k
