First off let me say that I have used the search function, I have followed the FAQ on creating AAC/Mp4 ringers to a t. But the problem is it is not working. I have been trying for a couple of hours now. Can someone please help me create the following ringers?

Amerie - One thing

Brook Valentine/Big Boi - Girlfight

50 - Candyshop

I hate to ask , but this crap is driving me crazy. Thanks to whoever can help me out.

My error is on the computer side- it will be converting and the computer keeps giving me an error. This is at home. It is very frustrating.

At work it would fail saying a problem with the codec.

If someone would help me out with those songs i'd be very appreciative.

I made One Thing and Candy Shop for you, but they're too big to attach. You can PM me your number and I can send them to you.

BTW, I just started trying to create AACs (I usually make QCPs) and I have no way of judging the quality so feel free to let me know when I send them to you how they are, how I can improve them, etc...

How do you get files from your miniSD to be ringers. I can't seem to get it to work. Do they have to be in ACC format or can they still be in mp3 format?

Im having problems also trying to convert mp3 to AAC. I followed all the steps yet when its start converting, just when its about to finish it stops and I get this message: " Unable to run encoder 'C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP\Compression\Mp4 (CLI)\encode.bat' "
Can someone please help! :( Very, very frustrating.

I've been able to do it with DB Power AMP but I regularly use Quicktime to convert the MP3s to AAC/M4A Files it works very well.

I use iTunes to make AAC ringers.
i use itune also.......after trimming your tune.....load it into itunes amd on one of the drop down menus one of the options is convert to aac.....i think the default is 128khz or something like that......for a 27 sec. ringer it will be around 450kb.......i dont mind the size because it gives the best sounding quality.......but if you want to make them smaller, also in one of the drop down menus you can go into preferences.....in one of those you can change the quality which will make them smaller but it also loses quality.....itunes is free just so you know........

450k?! Jesus! I Use quicktime on a 30 sec mp3 clip at 192kbps and they're only around 75k

Can anyone help me, im trying to find an alternate way of uploading my aac ringers to my sanyo mm-5600 besides focus, i have a data cable but i can't find any software, and when i use the minisd feature it just stores the song into my media folder and i can't set them as a ringer. i would very much apreciate it if anyone could show me how to upload my songs as ringers with out Focus

You can maybe try Bitpim. I know several people on here have used it with success. When setting it up I have read that "Other CDMA phone" works as well as 7400 and 5500.

You cannot put ringers on you mini sd card....it has go do directly to the phone.
