Here's a couple of my fave's (at least that are on my work computer - maybe i'll post more when I get home....If I'm not too drunk that is)
The first was actually taken with my 4050 and the second is for all you Bronco fans out there!
Here's one of my faves, adapted it from a great pic that a friend of mine took. It's cropped and positioned specifically for the "Calendar" idle screen, as shown in the 2nd attachment.
A buddy made a 5600 template for me to share that shows what gets covered up along with pixel sizes. It is zipped and in Photoshop format.
In my next message, I'll attach the image as a JPG.
If you don't understand how it works, use Focus and send it to yourself. But I think it is pretty straightforward. Enjoy!
Here is the file as a JPG. He 'watermarked' it because the background color is the same color as the forum background.
Edit: One thing to keep in mind: The red horizontal lines are parts of the image that ARE DISPLAYED / NOT COVERED UP.
Here is a thread at HoFo with dozens of images that can be used for both the 4050 and the 5600.

I put that on my phone, and I think you can get away with 212x320
Well Deval - The top area + the middle area = 240x288. That is the COMPLETE viewable area. However I think that for everything to display properly, the image should be the complete size, 240x320. Just keep in mind that anything below the red line won't be displayed.
How do you get these to work on your phone as wallpaper? I I put it on my miniSD card and it sees the file, but says it can't use it.
I don't think you can set wallpaper from the MiniSD card. I think it has to be in the handset's memory.
Everything I have set for wallpaper is what was sent to my handset from Focus... which automatically downloads into the handset's memory.

Is there no equivalent of "no guidance" on the 5600?

You can but it will copy it over to the phone memory

man this phone is getting more retarted by the second whats the point of the memory slot if you cant take full advantage of it?
Think of it like this... would you set your computer desktop wallpaper to an image that is on a floppy disk, CD, or jump-drive? NO... you would copy it to the computer's hard drive first.

Here's my little contribution. Pulled it off a screenshot I made from Gran Turismo 4, a few days ago.

These are all abstract, and were done using the lab's color calibrator (oops!) to maximize spectral use and really show off of the 4050 (and I'd assume 5600 as well) .
Just to show the results- put Wallpaper2.jpg on your 4050 and it will look quite surreal. :) .
