I ordered my 5600 today at about 5PM EST. The rep gave me a confirmation and told me the amount that will be charged to my card. A few hours later when I log on to my PCS I see that the amount was put to my account. What does this mean? They are charging the phone to my account and not to my card and just using my card to cover it?
I hope that telesales didn't mess this up because the rep told me that I will be getting it shipped overnight, and that it was for a Sanyo 5600. I am extremely confused and hope that I didn't get a rep who botched the whole thing. I have a confirmation number, is there anything that I should be expecting tomorrow when I call Sprint?
Any help is appreciated.

You should have calle immediately when you noticed that your account was being charged and not the card you gave the rep. Yes it sounds like there was a mistake made. If you gave the rep a legitimate credit card with exp. date and all then he/she should have charged the purchase to that card and not placed it on your sprint account. You will probably have to cancel that order if it hasn't shipped already and then reorder. If it has already shipped then you will have to wait to you receive it then return it the phone so they can give you the credit on your account, then reorder it. I doubt that sprint can do anything else if it has already shipped but if it isn't I am sure you should be able to cancel it and then reorder it. This has never happened to me with regards to sprint but something similar has happened with another company and that is what I was told.

Relax. From what I've been told this is normal practice when ordering from telesales. When the order shows up on your credit card it will be subtracted from your Sprint account.

yes, normal. however, don't count on the charge to your sprint account being credited. they never credited me and i'm still dealing with the charges, and others have had the same issue. telesales has a screw-up rate of about 90%. so just keep an eye on it.

yep. telesales always bills the amount of purchase to your sprint account until the credit card transaction clears. and they screw this process up regularly. thats why i don't order from them anymore. if you have a rebate coming, pay attention to that too, they don't have a good track record of getting that right either. especially if you do an ESN swap after recieving the new phone.

Me too, I just got off the phone with them and the lady initially told me I wouldn't get one. I asked her to ask someone else about this, she came back about 5 minutes later and gave me a tracking number. Its not on UPS yet, but it should be tonight. Fatboy, looks like we are on the same truck.

I sure hope not lol cause they said they ship from a warehouse in Kentucky, and I really dont mine headed to ND when i live in VA :joy:

got that same damn message... i ordered mine at roughly 1pm EST on Weds... i was told all orders before 1pm CST are shipped out same day. that is why others got there's on Thurs (next-day) and on Friday (ups ground). I did beat that deadline, but for some reason the order was not processed instantly (though my debit card was charged instantly). I am screwed, UPS does not deliver on sat. or sun., though they move packages toward their destination... this sucks monkey you know what... earliest that me and whoever else is knee deep in telesales hell with me will get it is monday :mad:
