I currently have the a620 which seems to be discontinued from sprintpcs.com, i wanted to know what phone do you think lockline will give me if i call for a replacement? Do you guys think that lockline still has the a620's in stock?
they will either give you a 620 if they have them or probably a 680

99.9% of the time, they'll give you an A620. So don't get your hopes up for an upgrade.

Interesting, I'd consider the 8920 a fairly significant upgrade to the 620 (vga1000). Why wasn't she happy?

Some people (me included) thinks anything audiovox makes is crap. I buy a phone based on its features and past experience with the brand which is why I have owned samsungs since the 3500!

yea thats it...i wouldve been happy myself, just for a change. but...i guess the name doesnt sound as good as samsung or sanyo. She also said the pictures were bad. and something was wrong with the sound on a call like it was too low

Since the 620 was discontinued recently, thell still probably have some over at lockline. But if they gave you a new phone my guess would be the 740 seeing as how it is the phone that replaced the 620

I would have to say 620 or may 8100. There still seems to be plenty of these phones around. Plus, even though the a620 was stopped selling at Sprint stores(though some still have them in stock) they probably have plenty around for insurance replacements.

that would make sense, they still had N400's when my wife lost hers a year after they stopped selling it. Any damaged phone sent in is reapired, right? thats how they get the new replacements to send out, your messed up phone fixed (when possible)

Thanks for the quick reply! Will it cost me $10 or $50? When the hinge on my 8100 broke, lockline only charged me $10.Thats how I got this A680.

Wow, I'd take the 8920. I mean, Curitel isn't great, but it's not like Samsung's history has been roses either. (N400 anyone? How about the A460?) The 8920 adds a speakerphone, megapixel camera, better screen, SMS....
And for the record, Audiovox was considered Verizon's "Most reliable brand." Which... yeah, means pretty much nothing.
(A side note, if Audiovox used Toshiba instead of Curitel, we'd be seeing much better phones)

Phones are like computers to me. I buy a brand that I trust till they screw up or dont have a phone at a price im willing to pay. They are like computers also in that they are a sum of their parts and ONE bad part will screw up the works.
Havent trusted the Audiovox name since they sold junk electronics at Kmart!
