Does anyone know if Lockline is replacing Sanyo 5500's with anything other than the 5500? If so what are they replacing it with? Thanks

Im sure they have PLENTY of them lying around. And if not then probably a Samsung. I highly doubt a 7400.

Its case by case though.

yeah, thats not even a question i would be asking right now, sprint is still selling 5500's and wont retire that phone til the summer i think and even after that lockline will still have plenty in place for months. They will send you a sliver 5500's B4 a 7400, but a 7400's in logic would be the phone to replace a 5500 seeing as their also same in price now, but like i said dont think about that til the winter of 05/06!!!!!!!

phones a 5500 can be replaced with are as follows, samsung a680, pm8200, a700, and the mm-7400 readylink isnt a big concern when replacing the phone for some reason.

A-680 no RL, PM8200 no video just cam (but that not to say lockline wont try), A-700 No RL again, and MM7400 Yes but unlikely

If I didn't get a 5500, a 7400, or a 5600(When Released) I would argue it. Seeing as everything else isn't comprable.

8200 Is Not By Any Means An Acceptable Replacement. No Video, Smaller Screen.

He is saying 8200 as a replacement for a A680. It would be acceptable.

How? The 680 Has Video. The 8200 Doesn't.

Lockline will ship you a phone in the comparable price class. If you have a problem with the features, they will likely give you one that suits you

But the 8200 has speakerphone/RL and 680 doesnt so i guess that makes up for video. Besides, the video quality on the 680 is horrible. Its like one big blur. Neway i was hoping i would get a 5500 when my 680 breaks but an 8200 would be good too.

The Phone They Replace With Is Of Comparable Price And Features. You Will Get Another 680 Likely. Although Exec Services Just Replaced My 8200 With A 7400 So Who Knows?

If you don't have video on your phone doesn't that mean that you can't receive video mail anymore? The video quality is horrible on the 680 but it is clear during video mail.

See this is exactly why I dont like the whole Lockline/Sprint thing. When I was with Cingular I would simply call lockline and say "I lost my phone" and they would give me a confirmation number and tell me the 3 phones I could choose from. I would go into the CINGULAR STORE, pay my 50.00 and walk out with a brand-new phone! If I didnt like anything that they were offering to replace my phone - I could simply subtract the worth of my phone from a new model and once again walk out with a new phone. This BS that I pay 5.00 bucks a month for them to SEND me a phone and the fact that it MIGHT be refurbished and that it MIGHT be comparable to what I have is total crap to me.

And that is just my two cents.

in my fist post of this thread i said IF there arent any 680's

i dont even have video mail (only picture) so it really doesnt matter to me how good the quality is if i look at it thru video mail
