I am considering buying a i600. I think I can get a new one for 500 without a new contract which seems like a good price to me. Im wondering if someone can give me some pros and cons about this phone. I looked around and havnt found any threads regarding this phone. I dont hear a lot of talk about the phone. I have only read a few reviews over the net. I would appreciate any suggestions about the phone. Thanks

There are still Sanyo 6000, 6200, and 6400 in stock?? I thought they dumped all those like 2 years ago when the 6400 was going for $50.

I lost mt 6400 after having it for two weeks. I would not mine getting another one. I am a bit spoiled with the 5 hour plus battery life on the Sanyo 4920 and Treo 650.

I missed out getting a 6400 when it was 50 bucks. I need a cheap vision backup phone. It would have been sweet if Sanyo made color screen 6400 with vision and a camera. :)

The only problem with the 'thin-phones' was the heat issues from usuage... not as bad as some other phones... but some folks had issues... It's a decent sale from what I told... no details on pricing, but I don't think its going to be on par with the last clearance sale on the 6200/6400s...

let me know also, like to get my brother a new handset if he can find one cheap with better reception than the n400 I just gave him. He likes the speaker phone but noticed that its got worse reception than his old sammy 8500. any suggestions from the above phones that will be cheap and have good reception?

Go with the Sanyo 6200, 6400, 5150, 5300 or the 4900 or 5500... N400, ymmv... My 'backup' one worked fine for when i occasionally use it.

Why are people so passionate about keeping things secrets? Let's put it out in the open so the people on here who are concerned customers, and are willing to buy items, or are interested in the info can know. Let us know, what's with the "surprises", this isn't CIA/FBI information, its a cell phone sale!

...many people's contracts forbid divulging information before a certain date. In the case of the third-party retailer I work for, we knew the name "Vision" almost a week before it "went wide."

So say anything can cost that person their job.....

I'll happily take a PM and just know what day it MIGHT be so i dont get there 3 days too late or waste a trip.

Sprint store (closest to me) is 15 miles away. Verizon is 2 miles away and Cingular now has 2 stores right across the street from each other (sure the old att one will close) but Sprint apparently doesnt plan on opening a new sprint store here anytime soon

I wasnt directing my request to you directly. Sorry if you took it wrong. intresting new image :)

Just no Sprint store close by and if I knew that it was say in 2 weeks as opposed to say 2 days that would be helpful is all. Not looking for "insider info" or to get anyone fired. P.S. if you read any of my posts trying to help people on here not screw sprint over you would know that I dont work for sprint. I actually had someone PM me thinking I did for some reason. In my opinion the 6400 was a great piece of hardware, a phone that did what a phone is supposed to do. A Damn good looking bit of kit too! My wife is still using hers, I've sent mine onto my younger brother in Hollywood.

I'm not asking to release things that can get you to lose your job. But why waste time and say...Something is coming I just CAN'T say when, or anything along those lines? It's pointless. Give an approximation at least if you are going to bring it up.

When they did this before when I worked for Sprint, they were all brand new phones, carrying a full warranty. The reason they are doing this is to get rid of inventory and make some people happy that don't qualify for a rebate yet.

I don't really think the camera's on new phones have improved all that much since the 5300. The 5300 took nice clear pictures and the flash is brighter than any other flash (not sure about 5600) if I rember correctlly. Is the Hitachi p300 just a single band. Guess if it is it only matters if you travel right? I wonder about the 5350 or the 600?

Anyone found out an official start date? I attempted to call the Sprint store on Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City to get some info. Could not get anyone to answer the phone. Then I decided to try an experiment. I want to the store and while there dialed their number. While watching the staff walk around with their proverbial thumbs up their a**es still could not get an anoyone to pick up the phone. I had always thought the posts about horrible customer service were overblown, but now I see the light. If Sprint is paying more than minimum wage they are getting screwed. When a rep decided I had waited long enough to be worthy of his attention, he was totally clueless. He said the tech puts out all the literature. It would appear that the employees of any given location don't even clue each other in.

This is not a nationwide sale, my store doesnt have any of these older model phones and we just got rid of the only 8100 we had, gave it to a customer as a replacement phone. There is a sale starting on the 10th the 5500 will be 150 w/new activation, and the PM-740, Audiovox 8912, and the LG PM-325 will be 59.99 w/new activation. In the marketing call notes there were no deals or money off the regular price for existing customers, I work at a corporate store and try to stay up to date on stuff like this, if some stores have old stock it is possible they are doing a sale to get rid of that stock, but it will not be nationwide at every store as not all stores have old phones in stock.

They will be selling A460's, 5300's, A500's, 4900's, LG 1200's, and I think another one or two. He said that they should be going for around $20-$40. He also said they didn't have the 5600 yet, but they would be getting them in this weekend. I am gonna go back on Sunday when the store opens and pick up two 4900's and one 5300.

I've been told by two of my store managers that they are for new activations only...

Gets me a little mad because my wife would like a new phone, and in the past we didn't need a new activation for them.

They pulled that bullsh*t the last time they had a Clearance sale. The Waterfront store in Pittsburgh was cool. They sold me the 6400 for $50 but the other stores around PGH were giving the "new activation only" line.

A good phone? Thinking of picking one up as a "back up" for when i break this one.

Also, conflicting dates as to when it starts. Anyone with good info please PM me, I appreciate it. $30 for a phone is too hard to pass up and dont want to miss out on it!

5300 = great phone. It survived being thrown against a wall.....by me. (Don't ask). The flash is an excellent feature of it........pitch black, and you can still have a good pic. No SMS, is the only downside.

Thanks, Im at sanyo's site now looking at it and I was wondering, does it have speaker phone at all? Also, the literature for the phone seems to indicate that it ships with a standard and extended battery though I cant believe I'm reading it right. Your help is appreciated :)

Sweet, now I just have to get there to buy one before they are gone. this phone doesnt have speaker phone either so its no biggie. The shipping with 2 batteries is a very nice thing though...... always killing a battery at work where no one has service and it keeps looking for service. Its not the phone or sprint, its the types of places I work in. Amazing how much a turbine can screw with cell signals.

Thanks again, I appreciate the quick responses :)

Great camera. Thank all of ya for the info, now if I get to the store the right day my plan to buy one will turn into 2. For an "old" phone it seems superior to my vga1000's we just got, but they were free anyways! Always good to have backup's!

When I asked how much the A600 was, he looked it up and said it was $199.99. So i left. I'll go to the store by my house after work. It's a better store and always knows whats going on.

that's so dumb. sprint is so inconsistent. with everything. policies, customer service, etc. just to add to the list of stories about clueless sales people, one store told me they knew something about a clearance sale but that it starts tomorrow. another laughed when i mentioned old phones in the $20 - $40 price range and said there's no way they were doing that. i wanted to punch the person. after all these years i think i'm going to start considering my other wireless options. i think my current contract is up in october. i'm actually really surprised at myself for staying with sprint when the screw-up rate when calling to change my service or to order from telesales is close to 80%. maybe i'm just having a bad day. maybe it's the wireless industry as a whole. which makes me wonder why they are such an exception.

After going to the store and being told there was no such thing, I called this afternoon and was told "Yea we have some, but they are all sold now." I was there at 10 AM when they opened. Does anyone "in the know" have a name and address I can write to the District Manager for the Oklahoma City area? The service at the Northwest Expressway is consistantly horrible and never seems to improve despite a continuous change of personnel. I would just like to address this higher up the food chain than some flunky store manager who it would seem doesn't give a crap either. For anyone out there in the Oklahoma City area, avoid this store like the plague unless you have extremely low expectations and want them met! Thanks

Thread is getting a little off the topic but oh well I'll vent too. I went to four different sprint stores today and two of them I saw people get mad and leave because sprint is so freaken slow helping there custormers. I started at the sawmill location because it's busy and I thought they might have a bigger seletion than some of others. Surprising the store wasn't that busy. I asked the door employee about the clearance sale and she didn't know. Also asked her about the 5600 and she right away said it wasn't in. I ask her to check to make sure becaue one time they told me a phone wasn't in but it was. She came back and said there getting it tomorrow. And the manager said there store won't be having any of the older clearance phones. Went to Fishinger store it's the only store I can stand. Spoke to the tech and he didn't know about the clearance sale but thinks they might be getting some phones in the next few days. Then went to the Tuttle Crossoing sprint store. There were eight people ahead of me and only two employees. I waited 25 minutes only to move up two spots. The manager told people that this rush is unusal (lunch time). Probally says that everyday. I wasted some time taking a picture of a phone in a display which was on the floor the entire time I was there (see below). I should have tripped over it and sued. kiding Maybe I could get a free 5600. lol I just left and called the store and surprising the manager answered and said he doesn't think there getting any clearance phones. Whoever picked that location and layout of the parking lot is a dumb ass. Then went to the Easton store. They were busy as well. The door person told me 20-30 minutes. Didn't want to ask him. I asked a rep and she was very nice and a little cute. She said she's not sure when there getting them in. Also wanted to add last week I had a appointment and the rep didn't even know about it and I had to wait. Maybe one day Sprint will figure out good custermer service. I would take the door person away and add a rep and go back to the number system but what do I know. I think the number system seemed quicker or sprint could just higher more reps or more qualified people and pay them more. Anything could be better than what Sprint is doing now. I'm tempted to try another carrier but don't think any can match or beat the plan I have now, so I deal with it. Sorry so long I'm a detailed guy.

Want to do it in my car Friday afternoon, hit every Sprint store in the Metro area, I'll even buy lunch, or a drink....LOL More Than Halfway Serious about this!

I took tuesday and wednesday off because the flu bug or whatever it is, is kicking my butt. I still didn't feel well today so I said I'll just waste a day and check out the Sprint stores. lol. I'll pass on the drink untill I get better. ;)

Called a local store and was told they didnt get any in and dont expect to. The girl was quite nice but she suggested the website. She also said to call back and check again but says nothing is expected in the next month?

Do the stores know what they are getting a month in advance like she just told me?

Anyone working at a store that has em that might be able to help me out? A phone order or something and pay for the shipping?

Update: 2 of 4 local stores said they had none, 3rd said shipments arrive on fridays there and the guy offered to call me back if any arrived, and 4th store offered me "clearance" prices on 8912, 8920 and sanyo 4500 but all were 220-350! The search continues!

This same thing was what really made me pissed. After watching for a few minutes and seeing the sales staff tell everybody they didn't have any of the clearance phones on hand and trying to talk them into the newer models, I decided to take 10 minutes of my time and fill out a BBB complaint form. I got the impression it was the old bait and switch. I'll just wait for a response and see what comes of it. At least through BBB the chances are better that it woun't get blown off by Sprint.

The 2 stores near me didnt have them yet and the person i talked to said man they are all discontinued phone's and i said ok whats your point,, he laughed it off and said there was not one..these phones are good for the price,, but this is not going to do any good if you have to activate it in the store when you buy it. im using the same 6400 that i bought when they had the last sale got it for 50$ out the door.

Sounds like it would be smarter to go on ebay if you really want to use a 3 year old phone.

They did not make me activate a new line of service. I had to activate the phone in the store on one of my existing lines, though. The prices are about $20 cheaper if you do activate a new line.

Broose you must have a lot of lines?

I think it might just depend on the store depending if you have to activate a new line or just activate it on a exsisting line. I don't see a problem activating on a exsisting line unless you have a 3g plan and wanting a 2g phone. It just limits how many you can get at a given time. I missed the 6400 sale. They let people just buy them and not activate them? Spirnt problly justs wants to make sure there activated before they leave the store incase of theft.

I stopped in the local store to p/u my replacement 8200 (bad earphone jack). They had the sign but that was all. The people there told me that got NO clearance product. They were originally told they would get product, but more recently were told to expect NOTHING!! They plan on removing the sign!

I tried calling a much larger store, but they never answer their phones (nor do they ever return calls) and it isn't worth 30 miles of driving for nothing.

That would make sense on the 18 month deal. If you add the phone to your account then its 18 months all over again. For me it would not matter as I just got my 18 month reset 2/1/05. whats a month between friends? :)

I'll echo the frustration regarding the Columbus stores. Easton parking is headache, no matter what store you're there to visit. I've seen people almost come to blows over parking spaces in the Virgin/Crate parking lot. Blame falls more upon the developers than the shopkeepers.

I stopped going to the Easton store when I dropped by one evening to get a software update for my phone, only to be told that I would have to leave it a day or two. Shyeah.

Today I stopped by the Hamilton Rd store, a depressing little hole-in-the-wall with a "CLEARANCE SALE: UP TO 85% OFF" banner hanging in the window. There had to be two dozen people crammed into the store, all but four forlornly waiting in line to be helped (most of which were probably there to pay their bills, if I've got the demographic pegged correctly). None of the Sanyo 6xxx, nor the 5300, were there... they had a few phones for about thirty, and a couple were free, but all required new activations.

I had called the Easton store the night before asking about a Clearance Sale, and the sales rep relayed the question to her manager who I heard reply "theoretically..." before giving a more elaborate explanation while I was on hold/mute. When she came back on the line, she said she couldn't give the details, but a sale would begin Thursday. Last night I thought she was simply following the practice of not giving out 'confidential' information, but in retrospect I think the manager's disenheartened "thereotically" reply shed a little light on how perhaps they didn't get the phones they had anticipated, or were not going to be selling them under the conditions (no activation) they had expected.

Oh well, the phone was only going to be a tri-mode 911 backup to a digital-only Verizon phone I'll be getting next week. I guess I'll get a 3-watt bag phone from ebay instead. But this week's reminder of store quality, inconsistent sale strategies, and distribution shortfalls will only help justify the hiatus I'm taking from Sprint.

During the last sale when the 6400's were available, I bought so many I can't remember the number, must have been close to 40. NO ACTIVATION REQUIRED.

I have spoke with several higher ups, don't ask, and they have all said that no activation will be required.

Some stores are taking the stand to only sell them for new activations. It varies from store to store and what the Manager wants to do.

On a side note, I spoke with two of the stores here in the Columbus, Ohio area and asked about the 5600 for purchase. One said that I could not just buy it, I would have to get a new line of service. No thank you.

The other store said that yes I could buy it, $479.99!!!! They would not hold for me, they said I would just have to take my chances. Well I did and guess what, when I got there the phone was now priced at $429.99 and the only one they had was gone. Sold about ten minutes after I called. (I only live twenty mintes from the store.)

Life goes on and the saga continues.

Everybody relax and have a pickle, good phones will come to those who wait.

Were you asking me? If so, its a fine phone, but I work construction and phones dont work good if you drop em 200 ft to a concrete floor! I would love to get a 5300 as a back up I could put on the account while waiting on a lock/line replacement and possibly just use the 5300, leaving the "new" a620 in the box. The idea of it coming with 2 batteries from what I have read is a BIG selling point for me and $30, I can do $30 :)

I didn't have much luck looking for clearance phones in the Seattle area. The downtown store had one Samsung camera phone for $199, a woman at the Bellevue/Overlake store flat out told me "we don't carry clearance phones", despite the big signs; but the Southcenter store had a Hitachi P300 that I bought for $20. The guy needed a phone number to sell it, but it didn't have to be activated. They had a few SCP-4900s earlier, but they went fast.

I dont mind giving them my PCS number as long as they dont require I activate it. I really want to pick up the 5300 because it looks to be a good back-up and the 2nd battery was the closer on that deal. Know if they update prl and software before they sell em?

some stores haven't received their shipment.
also, every store is different. my buddy found a store that had the 5300 but they said it had to be activated on a 2 year agreement and there was a $9.99 activation charge.
i went to a different store and got the 5300, but they required no activation.

that tells me some stores are going by the book, while others are not.
however, both stores did say that you were only allowed one phone per account. those that were able to buy more than one were just plain lucky.

I picked up a 3585i, a P300, and a 6400. The first store I went to had a 4900, but they wanted $120 for it. No thank you. Since they had only been open about two months, they didn't have much, but they had a lot of a460's and n400's, and some 5150's and 1200's. There were a few others, and they also had a Toshiba 2032, but the guy flat-out told me he'd only sell it to me under protest. He said the battery life was horrible, and it really irked him that the "phone" couldn't be used without a headset or by way of the speakerphone. He was also kinda upset with some girl that worked there, apparently he told her not to put it out, because they had it listed for like $150, which he considered robbery. He told me that the reason she still works there is because she speaks fluent Spanish. I almost fell over. Apparently it saves him the hassle. I didn't have to activate any of the phones, which is cool. The second store didn't have their display up until after 7pm, and they just taped down empty boxes of what they had. They didn't have any 5300's or 6400's.

So I've been playing with the 6400, and the P300. All I can say is, WOW. The P300 BLOWS AWAY the 6400, in everything but size. However, the P300 is pretty damn small, and it's so much cooler... I really like this phone, lol, especially the flashing lights, the control stick, the color... I could go on. The 6400 is just so blah... It is pretty small though, and there is the oddity of an orange screen. Why the 6400 was $30, and the P300 was $20, I'll never know. I'm SERIOUSLY comtemplating keeping the P300... It's really cool.

Damn I really wish I could get a Sanyo 6000. I was luckly enough to buy a Sanyo 6400 last time but I was trippin in a Hotel once and ran out so fast I lost the phone in the Hotel. Now I been changing phones like pants and I really just need a very small phone without all the extra junk. I was able to adjust the codec and other functions in the old days. Now I have a treo 650 and the sound is not acceptable. Codec is to compressed and in the old days the phones sounded better.

I just need a phone. The three in one phones have been driving me crazy.

Yeah, that's why I'm saying, the 6400 is lame COMPARED TO the P300. All in all, the 6400 is a cool phone, but I seriously wouldn't think twice about buying the P300, if I liked monoblocks. Plus I could see the P300 sitting next to a Nokia 6225/6016i, whereas I couldn't see the 6400 in that lineup, without a more advanced screen. I do have the 6400 on orange screen right now, it's kinda weird, I think.

On another note, the 640o and P300 both get "perfect" (4 bar) reception in my basement, where the a460 barely gets 1 bar... This could just be a difference in "bar definition", but that's still a big gap.

6000 is one band meaning 1900. The 6400 is 3g and dual band. however, 6000 is even smaller than 6200 or 6400. I think the 6200 mat be the best out the bunch. Battery life is longer on 6200.

I dont care, I dont care, all I want is a small phone. I would drive all day, I would drive all day.

I am still looking for a Sanyo 6000. I think the best out of the group is the Sanyo 6200 for the battery life.

Called the one store to inquire about em friday and they suggested i call a location that already said no.

Anyone know what sprint was thinking? I can understand some stores MAY have some old stock sitting there, but most of these phones had to come from a warehouse, right? I would call an 800 number or *2 to buy if that was an option!

Advertising the clearance sale (even putting a sign up in the window is advertising it) and showing a bunch of phones your not selling and havent had in months or years seems deceptive to me. It might not be bait and switch but its getting close to it if they advertise up to 85% off and the store is trying to sell you a phone for 220-350 at a small savings from original list price. The 220-350 priced phones are the only ones that I was told about on "clearance" in any of the local stores.

Good luck finding one where ever u are. Find an extra 5300 and wanna sell it for a fair profit, PM me!

Easton says that some of the other stores will have them. Don't you just love that everyone knows what's going on?

It's like Govt. work, the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and you have ten people standing around drinking coffee for three hours because they know they can not be fired.

I'm calling John Garcia at corporate on Monday! Enough of this crap.

You have hit the nail on the head. This is the type of misinformation and hit or miss marketing that prompted me to file my complaint with the BBB. If I had been told at the outset that my local store wouldn't have any clearance phones I would not have wasted my time going there.

Most stores have to coordinate their specials. Sears, Target, Best Buy, Radio Shack, they all have specials every week, and they all sign to the same specials constantly. Why is it so hard for Sprint to be consistant?

From the sounds of it, many stores didnt get shipments they expected. If it was a stocked item you would just get a "rain check" and come back in a week.

The problem comes from putting up signs and having offer sheets availavle that are for products you dont have and wont be getting in. Sprint doesnt seem to care about making those customers satisfied!

they happen to say if they actually had any phones in? or are they relying on the same shipments no one else has seemed to get?

They would get more in. I think Sprint is just trying to keep the sale around and not allow ebay sellers to purchase the phones.

When I went there on Friday, my old store manager was telling me that the sale was to start on Sunday the 13th. I didn't think to ask if they actually had them or not yet, or when they were getting them. But he did tell me a bunch of the prices and told me he would put the first two 4900's to the side for me. I guess I'll have to wait until noon tomorrow to find out everything.

The no activation lines should be sold to you one per line you have on account max and noted on your account so you can not goto another store and do the same thing. Then everyone has a shot at buying a phone.

5300 for $30 and its going for about $100 on ebay. Should sell my scratched up n400 there, sure it woulod get me atleast $30, hell it works and its clear for use.

A quick call to the few stores open here on Sunday reveals...the Robinson store is out of the 5300, 6400 and I330. I did not ask about anything else. The Downtown store is closed today, as is the Waterfront. Monroeville is open but does not have the phones in.

My old store got exactly;
Sanyo 6200=1
Sanyo 6400=1
Sanyo 5300=2
Samsung A460=20
Sanyo 4900=2

All were sold within 5 minutes of the store being open as 25 people were there when it opened. What a bunch of crap that was.

So im guessing you didnt get any set aside for you either?

26 phones on a clearance sale is a bunch of crap. The fact that they arent even getting them in and starting a sale on the same day everywhere is even worse! This whole thing doesnt seem to have any purpose other than to get you in and then offer you a phone thats $50 after rebate.

Yea its bullcrap. At least when we had the sale for the 6400's last year, we had about 200 of them.

P.S. I just noticed your from Niagara Falls. My parents and whole family were born there or still live there. I visit every summer for a few weeks.

As far as the phones go, a guy at one local store took my name and number down and seemed to want to help me get a phone for a back up. He said friday or monday and they got nothing friday, so we will see. I wont rely on him calling though, i'll call them.

haha, my uncle told me about that. Yea, the city has gone downhill, thats why alot of my family has moved to Florida. I still have alot of family there. The only street name I can remember is that my grandmother lives on Frontier avenue and her backyard is right on the expressway. I was there during Xmas, damn it was cold

I stopped by the Braintree MA store (they are the ones who never answer a phone call or call back) on Sunday. They had as many employees out front as customers (4 or 5 of each). I asked about the sale and the young lady had no idea what I was talking about. They did NOT have any signs up or any display cases.

I called another 3 or 4 stores, no stock, never got any product. All but one claims that they will NOT get any stock. One store expects some clearance stock, but no idea when. They said that you MUST activate and sign on for 2 years to get the clearance priced phones. That would mess up my intention to pick up a cheap spare for our 8100 and 8200, a "just in case" situation . . . unless they had a 5600 for $50 <g>.

Well, I walked by another store (closed at that hour) with the sign in the window (no clearance stock, display was stuffed in a back corner behind the customer service counter). Indeed the sign does say that it requires 2year activation for the clearance sale prices.

So what was up with the few stores reported that sold product with no activation requirement?

the prices on the flyer say that the phones are either $10 or free (depending on the phone) with a 2-year activation: however, they can sell the phones for the $20 or $30 (depending on the phone) WITHOUT activation. i don't know what direction to tell employees to go to find that info since it's not on the flyer (ask Deval) but it must be somewhere in the system. i got the same load of BS at the store near me. they have the flyers out but no stock has come in yet apparently and they don't know when. i'm going to try again later tonight, hoping maybe a truck showed up this afternoon. anyway, the guy behind the counter said that i could only get those phones with a new line of service anyway (despite the fact that it does not say that anywhere on the flyer). that's when you have to ask for a manager. and if the manager says the same thing, that's when you force them to call someone at sprint and say all hell will break loose if they don't. it shouldn't be this difficult, but it's sprint we're dealing with. they go out of their way to make their customers lives difficult. i use to think sprint got a bad rep for no reason. but there truly is a reason they are at the bottom when it comes to customer satisfaction. they suck; they've sucked for years; and they are only getting worse, despite what they say. the customers know this, since we're the ones that have to deal with them every day. if it wasn't for their cutting edge network, sprint wouldn't exist.

what i can't understand is, why sprint won't let us order them from telesales, that would give everyone equal opportunity. why ship em to stores and then you don't know where they are, some stores probably got hoardes of them that won't move. :td:

Anyone who lives in the GA area and is close to Savannah should check out the store on Abercorn st. They have phones for lower than most other corporate stores. Their 8200's are $29.99. . . compare that to the online price of $99.99 and most other stores of $129.99. Haven't looked at the price for their other phones.

Good heads up but the prices for the clearance phones, atleast most of em, didnt involve a rebate. $30 for a good quality old phone if your not rebate eligible is a great deal!

In my opinion the 6400 was a great piece of hardware, a phone that did what a phone is supposed to do. A Damn good looking bit of kit too! My wife is still using hers, I've sent mine onto my younger brother in Hollywood.
Yes the 6400 is great but at this point in the game the 6200 is better. The talk life is longer and the extra features are not reallt extra at this point. The Sanyo 6000's series phone should only be liked for style and or size plus battery life. I am willing to sarcfice battery life for the 6000 but not for the 6400. So the sweet spot out of the 6000's series phone would be the 6200. The super exotic would be the 6000. Now records are made to be broken so Sanyo could release the old school all day long but new school has a few better phones on deck. One is the Haier P7.
