I have been thinking about modding my x box and I am trying to figure out which route to take and thought you guys might help. I want to be able to play online on Xbox live since Halo 2 is the only game I play and everybody I know plays on x box live, not x box connect. Also I want to be able to stream divxs and svcd from my computer to the x box so I can watch movies on my tv. I don't need to store movies on the x box since I only watch them once. Will a tsop flash work. What is the difference between a flash and actually modding on a chip. Also do different chips work differently?

I dont know much about modding, but when you log onto xbox live and do updates, microsoft can scan your xbox hard drive to see if anything illegal is on it. If you want to mod your xbox, I would not connect it to the internet. Microsoft is not a company you want to be in a lawsuit with.

I have two xboxes, my modded one and the unmodded one. I use xbconnect and kai for the modded one, and use live for the unmodded. works great for me that way.. plus I can have multiplayer networking in the house.. ;-)
