a700 has megapixel camera and joke video camera and "multimedia" which is also a joke. 8200 has a vga camera (not as good) but has ready link (push to talk) and speaker phone.

Have both the 700 is a much better phone. The 8200 will not get reception where I live the 700 gets reception. I've tried 3 different 8200 and none have had reception. As far as sound about the same. The 8200 does have the speaker and Ready Link, the 700 doesn't have either. Of coarse you're the one that has to use the phone.

The A700 naturally has more features (high res display, MM, 1MP swiveling camera), but the 8200 has a half-duplex speaker phone and RL. The Samsung wins hands down in the sound quality department, as well menu refinement.

I have both phones. A700 is much better with sound quality. Especially A700 supports MP3 and AAc, but 8200 does not support either. I have also vision service. I have been able to download a 1.9Mb MP3 to my A700 using the following site:

I personally like A700 a lot better. It gives me more fun.
