Corrupt picture in downloaded/assigned (Toshiba)

Alrighty guys, this may be a first here. If I go into my downloaded/assigned pictures folder, it loads the first three thumbnails, locks up, goes black and reboots. I found out what picture is causing it by going into my phonebook and viewing each picture assigned to a caller until the phone exhibited the same behavior. I have deleted the assignment, but the picture still remains. Is there any way to delete the picture without going into the downloaded/assigned folder?? Or am I screwed....thanks!

take your phone to the sprint store, and have them backup your phonebook and refurbish your phone, that should take care of it.

Well believe it or not...I took the phone over to the Sprint store yesterday, the girl punched a whole bunch of stuff in the computer, printed me out a receipt, and said I will be getting a new one, they will call me when it comes in, sometime before the 8th....totally unexpected!
