I have been super patient for the last couple of months waiting for the ppc-6600 to be released from sprint. Back in November I was told through someone at sales that the 6600 would be released in December (and I would get a call when they were received so that I could PRE-Order), then in december I read in the forums that the release would be delayed until Jan 25th (so I didnt bother calling to complain as I figured that the bugs are being worked out, which is fine by me)

Since Jan 25th has passed I got the itch and I called ....I got passed from SALES ---> Technical Support ---> Someone else in technical support ( and this guy talked to his manager ) and NO-ONE has any idea of the 6600.

When I told the last guy that sprint may be missing out on sales opportunities as Verizon is already selling the phone... and when I asked why werent they aware of the phone as there are articles out on CNet, engadget, etc stating that sprint will be selling the ppc-6600/6601....I got the speach that sprint may not carry (nor plan to carry some of the phones, plus because verizon offers the 6600 does not mean that sprint has intentions to)

Could someone make me feel better by straightening this out. I really need a new phone ( mine is acting up ) and I really want a convergance windows device such as the ppc-6600. What is going on?

Do I need to drop sprint ( which I have had not problems with in some 10 years ) and go to verizon?

You'll also have to live without all of the bug fixes that everyone hopes that the 6600 will have over the 6601. We've been waiting for those since November as well. I guess that's what we get for buying Audiovox phones.

What is your favorite PDA/phone? Tell me about that perfect non existent device you dream of. Certainly not the Treo 650, or is it???? LOL

Take the trolling somewhere else. We're trying to stay on topic here.

We, new users, need honest feedback from you and others, not just barrages and snipes of negative information based clearly on some personal vindetta. You take a shot at Audiovox in almost every post you write.

Well, Audiovox has never been on my high list of companies that produce great quality products. I'm trying out this PPC6601, and it is my first Audiovox product ever. After 2-3 weeks I may keep it and I may not. If I return it I will simply say why, but I won't be camping out here telling everyone that "Audiovox is lousy, don't buy Audiovox, that's what you get from buying Audiovox."

Do you get the message? Your input is not valuable like that.
