I'm looking into purchasing a new phone soon...either the a700, 7400, or 325...
one my current phone i have to go through the internet, select messaging, and by the time i actually send out the message, the whole process has taken me about 10 minutes. My sister is on verizon and she sends text messages in seconds, as fast as she can type them. Is the text messaging process streamlined at all on these newer phones or is this slow process just something sprint users have to deal with? It almost makes text messaging useless. Thanks.

That is the old shortmail system, all the newer phones avail do not have that issue and can do sms directly from the phone.

AFAIK the only Sprint phone being sold that uses short mail is the Samsung A620 / VGA1000
