the problem is that you cant send ring tones to your phone. it has no web browser, so there is no way for it to "download" them. I think if you have a data cable you can do it

Of course the 3588i has a web browser... Sprint PCS just doesn't want anybody to use it. :p It's neutered.
You need a data cable to upload it to your phone. Gonna say NO on the images.

I think if it wasnt neutered you would be able to download any midi off the web since it don't seem to require GCDs to work in GSM Nokias.

I think the original poster is referring to something very specific. Some Nokia phones can be sent monophonic ringtones through SMS. Look at the monophonic ringtones at this site:

The site knows how to send such ringtones to phones of American carriers via SMS, but not to Sprint in particular. However, using tools on this site I think one could create the message, then send it to a Sprint Nokia phone. Maybe the Sprint Nokia phone would act on it properly?
