Hello,

I'm not sure where this post would belong so please move it if this not in the correct section.

Since we got Sprint three months ago, I have no use for my AT&T Motorola V60t Color phone. Do any of you know where I could find a guide to help me reset this phone. I want to remove my phone number that displays during the start up process and reset everything to box condition. There is a master reset option, but you need a passcode which I don't remember anymore. Can anyone who knows anything about how to complete this process please help me out with reseting this.

I plan to either sell it to a family member on AT&T or sell it on ebay.

Thanks!

That didn't work either.

I'm going to have to look around and see if I wrote it down somewhere.

I got the phone settings reset, but does anyone know how I would go about removing my phone number that displays during the start up process?

You have to soft program the phone in order to do it.

From the main screen, press #40111#* and the SEND key, and it will immediately ask you for a security code. If you haven't changed it, it should be 6 zeroes. It should say NAM 1 and NAM2; select NAM 1, and change the programmed number (it should be either your phone number or a routing number) to all 1's. Once you select done, your phone will power cycle, and your number will be completely de-programmed.

Hope this helps!

Okay...When I tried the #40111#* it askes to varify my ten digit Cingular phone number, billing zip code, last for of SSN. I entered it in even though I no longer am a AT&T customer anymore. It then asked for my ESN of my phone so I entered the ESN in and got a response that said I can't add the requested ESN. I just ended the call since this is not getting me to the deactivation options.

Any other ideas on how to totally deactivate this phone?

LOL....I can't believe I didn't notice, but I totally transposed the numbers for the code. It's actually #04111#* SEND, not the way I previously mentioned it. It shouldn't dial out at all if you do it semi-quickly, it should simply take you to the Security Code screen on the phone itself. Give that a shot.

Thank you so much! It worked like a charm. Sorry to bother you on the matter, but it seemed like you knew a lot about it from your first post!

Thanks Again! :)

No problem...I sold the things long enough to remember all the coding, so it's no big deal. Sorry I botched it in the first place... :)
