View Full Version : Question on Sprint Plans

I am currently looking for a new phone and provider. I went my local sprint store because I believe they have always had the best phones. I use my current Motorola T720 hooked up to my laptop for Internet access while on the road. Service is from Verizon and while it is not the fastest, it has been reliable but a little pricey.

I asked the Sprint in-store rep which phones I could do this with and was told none unless I wanted a PC card. The largest plan for that was 300M for $80/month.

My readings on this and other forums lead me to believe he is incorrect. Do any of you use your phone attached to your laptop/pc for direct Internet access? If so, what type of plans are you using. I was looking at one of the Treo smartphones or one of the other higher end phones.

Thanks for any advice or tips.

Officially,

You can, but the price isnt as good as a wireless card. You can get the $10 vision, but thats for Inet use only on the phone. If you want to attach the phone like a modem, the price is like $80 for 300mb...

Unofficially you can 'use the $10 vision' plan through alternate means, but they will crack down on that...
