Okay, so the story is had a problem with my 8200, loose charger port, lockline sent me another 8200, had same problem. They decided to send me another phone, they told me they would request something other then the 8200. I got the new phone today and it's a red 8200. I DO NOT LIKE THIS RED PHONE AT ALL!!!!!!! Talked to very nice supervisor, they gave me a choice.................Toshiba 4050, or a 5500 or a a680, anybody have any suggestions. Really didn't like the 8200 that much and I don't use the ready link. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I would go with the 4050 if you want a large, vibrant display and the 680 if you want a very small flip. Reception/sound quality "should" be about the same.

Tell them you will settle for nothing less than a 7400.

Keep dreaming if you go after the 7400... I would go with the VM4500.. imho... go to a store and play, thats the only way to be sure.

and next time, the loose charging port issue can be resolved by going to the store and getting a free flat charger

I tried that but the sprint store will not give me a free flat charger. My friend in Atlanta had to do that but, they wouldn't let me do it in NC.

SPH-A680 if you want small size, great voice dial, and a mirroed exterior display
Toshiba if you want a nice screen
Snanyo if you want a multi-colored status LED, and the Sanyo name

thats BS....I would have spoken to the manager. We were INSTRUCTED to do that for customers with loose pins

If you dont use the alarm alot, or dont mind changing the SMS to T9 all the time, the 5500 is still a solid phone...I miss some things from it with this new MM7400

i would go with the 5500. the stores were all told to exchange charges for customers with the standard charging port problem. as long as you bring the charger in they are suppose to do it. i think the 5500 is the most solid sprint phone in the line right now.

You are lucky if Lock line gave you a choice at all. They totally screwed me over! I have lost about $300 in premiums and deductibles all for them to send me a phone valued less than half of what I had insured. My advice, don't even trust lockline to send you out what they say you have a choice on...
