im so use to text messaging the old way by connecting to short mail and sending messages from there. but now they have sms text messaging where we dont have to connect to vision anymore to send text messages.

my phone supports sms but do i have to pay to use it? i decided one day to give it a try by responding to a message using sms. on my next bill i didnt see any charges for it. what do you guys think?

If you have vision, you get 100 text messages included with your plan. After that, each message sent or received is $.10. If you have on older vision plan, it may include unlimited text messaging...check online or on your bill under wireless web messages. If it says unlimited, then you are good to go.

If you dont have unlimited, and you need more than 100 per month, you can add unlimited text messaging for $5 a month, or $10 if you dont have unlimited vision.

thanks! looks like i have unlimited wireless web messages .. so im good to go as far as sms text messaging? no more short mail??

I know you can just call up to have it fixed......but I'm almost scared to. Who knows what might happen!

Get a newer phone. No true SMS on the a620.
