I've been out of the forums for a while... Is Sprint now tracking minutes of usage when connecting your phone to laptop via usb cable? I've done this for 2 years with no issue, but just noticed my Additional Minutes section on the usage website had an '80' in it. There's never anything here because I keep my phone in Sprint (not Automatic or Analog) mode to prevent roaming. I was using it for data via the cable this weekend, and I have 700 anytime minutes left.
Anyone else seeing this? Argh! TIA,
C
PS - Yes, I know, that has never been a guaranteed or encourage use of Sprint's network...

There should be a separate section on your invoice for "casual" Vision usage, if that is what was incurred.

That's true for regular usage from the phone. I just wonder if they can tell where it's coming from and intentional DON'T tabulate it like regular vision in order to charge. Sigh...

1) Supposedly if you violate the Vision TOS, they take it away, not charge you for the usage,
2) What reports I've seen where people are charged (never seen it 100% confirmed), it is still in terms of kb transferred, not airtime. In fact I've never heard it said that Sprint's Vision billing and logging mechanisms are even instrumented to determine connect/air time. Apparently, though Verizon's 1xrtt service IS instrumented for connect time, since they have an EN-MOU (minutes of usage) option for their 1xrtt service (I wish Sprint did as well...)
