Hi,
Im new to the forum. I have a sanyo pm8200, I had a problem with the charger, something like the port was loose. Anyway Lockline sent me the same exact phone, but it also had the same exact problem, when I called back they said that they will send me another phone, and that they will put that I prefer not to have the same phone because of the original problem. My question is what can I expect to get next, will it be a downgrade from the phone that I have?

They will probably give you a tin can attached with string.

You know I just received one of those from them and it works fantastic!

maybe a different color?

The one they sent me had a frayed string... But the replacement was fantastic!!! Classic Cambell's Soup Can and brand new twisted string! And Prompt! Only took 6 months by foot carrier!

Guys lets keep this on track. Generally Lockline will order you the same specific phone model as per their procedures... They can order a 'different' handset if they are a) out of your particular model or b) you request nicely and get the right person who can do it. Now when they ship the phone to you, does it come with a charger, and if so, are you using that charger, or your original charger from your first 8200? 'Sometimes' its the charger causing the problem, other times it 'might' be the handset.

They shipped a new charger, but I was told by someone else that the charger has been a problem for the 8200, I've heard that if you get the plug in one that it is better, the one that comes with it is a pin. Lockline said that they were going to order a different handset but after reading the other postings I'm worried about what I will get. If worse comes to worse I will just keep the 8200 they already sent me, I just can't talk on the phone and charge at the same time.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (MobilePhone MM-7400/US/1.0) NetFront/3.1 MMP/2.0)

Why not go to sprint store and ask for flat charger? You should be able to exchange yours for that flat style one. They did it for me when i had the 5500, my phone had the same problem.

yeah the easiest and cheapest thing to do is just bring it in...the replacement charger is free

I tried that the people at sprint were not helpful at all. The lady told me "if you plug in the charger and lay the phone down, the charger will not fall out".
Seriously that is exactly what she said, she said I was not supposed to talk on the phone and charge at same time. So before I lost it, I decided to try lockline. :(

Yeah, I don't see why you are getting a run around. If you switch to a data port charger it will correct the charging issue. You should have told the rep, that it is not an issue with the charger falling out, but that fact the port and loose and the charger will not charge the phone.

Did you get a tech to look at the phone, or just ask a rep about it. I would leave it and have a tech look at it to see if the charging issue is barrell port related.

Yeah you should be able to exchange it at a store. I personally did 3 exchanges today for that problem.

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I went to Sprint store today and they told me to wait until I get the phone from lockline. I also called lockline today and they still haven't sent the phone. Who knows what I will end up with. They sent the other one right away. Anyway, thanks again, I was reviewing the site, it is very cool. Glad I found it.
