View Full Version : Is Vision down? Weird stuff happening

My Treo 650 had been working great since November. Beginning last night, it keeps trying to reprovision. After it attempts, it says "the update was not successful due to a server communication error. If the problem persists, please contact Sprint." I am then still able to connect to Vision, BUT all my cookies are gone in Blazer! I re-entered passwords and such, and they stayed until the provisioning popped up again and went through the same process--after which cookies were gone.

I tried a soft reset, hard reset, still happening. And the last time it just hung on the reprovision attempt, and now I can't connect to Vision at all. Just getting the "Error 67 -- Registration Fialure. Check your username and/or password...."

I called customer service, got the Vision department, and they said there was some sort of update underway and their systems were down. I asked if that could be the cause of this problem, and they said possibly but didn't seem too sure.

Any ideas?

See my thread on "Vision down for everyone?" Vision is now working for me again, but I never did successfully Update Profile. (It kept giving error 1012.)

A small word of advice...unless you really need to, I wouldnt suggest you keep updating your profile. If there is a problem with your account, you will reload the wrong info on your phone, and then lock out your account since the password is wrong.

Unfortunately, something is still goofed up this morning. As best I can figure, Sprint's server computer that holds browser cookies is down. Symptoms are:

1) Every time I go into Business Connection, I have to re-enter my username and password. This indicates that Sprint is unable to save a cookie with my username and password.

2) When I try to send a video, I am asked to subscribe to Video Mail even though I am already subscribed. Again, lack of a cookie?

Alternatively, Sprint's authentication system for these features is goofed up or down. Grr.
