I heard the many horror stories about retention and always was to scared to call but went for it, the whole thing took about 5 minutes ( very nice FEMALE rep ) key word being female,. I basicially told them that my area wide plan is no more conduceive to my needs as I must travel throughout the US. She first remind me that I was only 2months into a 2 year contract and would have to pay $300 in ETF for 2 lines, I said it's better than paying out of area fees so, she says I could offer you the new FAMILY share plan, I say and what is that
$55 1000 AT/min 7pm N/W, PCS_PCS, unl. vision, to share between 2 lines, So I say to myself this is to easy, what's the catch, so I confirm again that this true, she says yes, I said OK that will work a couple of key strokes and she confirms again and says it will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. I don't post this to toot my horn but to just say these options are out there. I do wanna know if am cool now that I have a retention plan will you all like me better now, J/K I really have alot more respect for sprint now as I dogged them many of times. I would only guess that I was a valued customer after 7 years.
And no I will not put this plan in my signature.

I think sharing on 3 lines would constitute GREEDY. I was just being frivolous.

I wonder if I could get this plan for four lines? My problem, though, is that I have two CONTRACTED lines on a shared minutes plan ($50, 700 minutes) but my other two UNCONTRACTED lines are on the $40/750 minute plan with UL PCS2PCS and $10 vision. I was able to get the rep to half the shared minutes rate to $10 bucks, so technically it's now also on "retention," but I'd really just like to get all four lines on the same $40 plans. Retention doesn't seem to want to put the new lines (since March '04) on the plans as the other ones.

$10 AAP is for fair and flexible plans - if someone put it on a free and clear plan they either made a mistake or they don't care

True. Retention can do whatever it wants. I got 800 flexible for 70, with a free third line, free 7pm, and 5% discount. Total 66.50 plus tax for THREE lines. sweet.

UPDATE, Sometimes all this hagling isn't worth the frustration, but my retention plan started today so to my surprise it wasn;t exactly what I thought it was. First My picture mail account was deactivated so I called and somehow ended up talking to a vision specialist, they changed picture pack to premium pack ( got that fixed) then and check this out the secondary line has 7pm N/W free only until feb. 07 don't ask. Primary line has 7pm N/W free till infinity once again don't ask, it makes no sense. Was able even with retention changing vision codes to keep secondary unl vision $5 without vision on primary, don't ask. The plan is $50 NOT $ 40 but am done with it, just not really worth the frustration, I think all said and done it's fair am not going to get greedy. They $5 dollar you to death. They need to make it easy on themselves and myself and just start some UNLIMITED everything plan minutes, vision, text, pictures, RL, roaming, etc. I must say this again the female reps are much nicer than the males.
