my friend Jim lives a few blocks away with a guy named Bill. Bill is from Denver. Bill is a lifetime Broncos fan. Bill jumped in the shower at halftime to wash the smell off of him. Jim will keep a full beer in Bill's hand so that Bill will be unable to injure himself when the game ends.

boy...Dallas Clark and Bob Sanders getting all kinds of love from the CBS crew. new NFL pipeline now flowing out of Iowa City!

Two blowouts & moss acts like he pulls his pants down and wipes his butt on the goal post. Do some of these players just love the drama? I really don't like whatching NFL as much as I used to because of the stupid celebrations after each play/score. Don't know if you guys saw it but in the first quarter Moss was yelling at fans behind his bench pointing at the score board. I didn't care who won but I do like Farve and after Moss was doing that I wanted Green Bay to come back. I like what howie said "class and dignaty (sp) don't go hand and hand". Some of these players will never get it. I don't want to see this happen but one of these days a player is going to piss of the wrong drunk fan and a huge brawl is going to break out. :eyeroll:

I would like the colts to win it. I'm a browns fan. lol

Here is where I hate people's hypocrisy. So... Moss wipes his butt on the goal post... but was Farve not out of line when he not only pushes a viking but then throws a punch??? Commentators identified it when it happened.. but left it alone after that. I think I would rather put up with Moss' antics rathter than a player getting physically abusive and throwing punches.

If Farve through a punch I guess I missed it and the officals missed it. It doesn't matter who you are if you throw a punch I think it's a automatic toss. Shoving matches happen all the time after plays in the NFL. Niether fighting or show boating should be allowed in sports. I don't mind when a player spikes the ball or slams it over the goal post. I think some of these players really like the spot light on them all the time but they need to remember it's a team sport. Maybe they should be movie stars. lol

The Saints beat the Rams but the Rams win the tiebreak against the Saints. Go figure.

The Saints would be cleaning up the NFC right now. At the end of the regular season, they were playing better than anyone else in the conference. Stingy defense, prolific offense, big plays, Special Teams player of the week for 4 straight weeks.

No one wanted to face them. Sigh.

The way Farve played it might have helped. lol One more thing I forgot to mention is it's funny when these players get interviewed after there bs and they make it sound like they did nothing wrong and the "media" blows it up?

it was first half and there was a "late hit" where the viking linebacker didnt realize the play was dead. When he realized the play was over, he tried to stop the hit, but the guy fell over. It wasnt malicous, but then a shoving match started and Farve hit the guy in the face a few times.

of course if a viking even looked at farve's facemask farve would cry to an official for a flag, if that didnt work he would go pop some pain pills and wash it down with some booze.

but then again moss should be crucified for doing something bart simpson is made famous for.

The Rams had a better Division and Conference record if I recall correctly.

It was a 3-way tie, which allowed the Rams to advance "first." Then the Vikes beat the Saints let the Vikes in. The rules are head to head first *unless* it's a 3-way tie. It's kinda lame because the Rams lost to the Saints.

maybe moss should just be in the simpson's then. crucified is a bit of a strong statement. I'm sure a lot of quarter/running backs take a lot of pills for the pain, just no one addmitts to it. Since this is going to a Moss/Farve dispute I don't remember Farve having any police issues or not giving 100% or walking off the field when the game isan't over? If all the NFL teams had to pick between Moss (knowing how he's now) and Farve ( in his prime) I would think majority of them would pick Farve. Let's agree to disagree.

moss smoked a little pot, farve popped vicoden like they were m&m's.

and i mean a lot of baseball players probably take steroid, just no one admitts it. so i mean that makes it ok right?

last time i checked it was just as illegal to abuse a narcotic as it was to have a little pot.......?

you really cant make the comparison since they play different positions and your selecting when you would pick them. i would put moss in the top 3 of WR playing now. i would put brett in the top 7 or 8, now. Obviously anyone who had any football sense would take a QB over a WR. But moss is still one of the best WR out there. you have to remember football is a business and all that counts is wins and losses. moss may be an idiot but he is a monster athlete.

on other notes anybody else like how a network (fox) that brings you "who's your daddy", "temptation island" and "wife swap" is taking the high road and opting not to show the replay of moss bending over pretending to moon people?

Moss and Farve are great athletes. Farve just has a lot more common sense. I think the coaches and owner of the vikings will realize someday that even though Moss is a great player he's a distraction to the team. Really the vikings shouldn't even be in the playoffs and they will lose the next game.

That's nice. Most athletes are roll models wheather they like it or not. They should donate money since they make **** loads. I'm sure the packers/farve have done similar stuff for chrarities. I don't feel like looking for it just to make a point. When your 8 yr old son asks you "why is Moss pulling his pants down" what do you tell him? Your missing the point. I'm sure Moss is a nice guy off the field but he needs someone to knock some sense into his nogen. lol

personally i was more impressed that he declined being interviewed on the subject and donated his TIME and HIMSELF to these kids. your right, if athletes are making butt loads of money then time/self is worth more than any amount of $ given.

personally i would rather have my kid watching randy moss/terell owens/bo jackson do some crazy endzone dance than, oh say, watch paris hilton in "the simple life." compared to what else is on television when you turn it on, bending over to pretend to moon somebody seems rather meek.....what do you tell your 8 year old when football players slap each other on the butt?

the horror!!!

Outside, on grass, in the frozen Northeast, versus the team that beat them once already (and in the summer at that) and won their last two games by a combined score of 44-14, with the 4th worst defense in the league?

I love Peyton and I reall, really want him to win a Super Bowl (I think that he *should* win this year, just for the universe to be fair), but Dungy hasnt' given Peyton the defense he needs. Peyton might put 2 or 3 on the board, but it won't be enough :(

4th worst defense in yards allowed. Some of the other defensive stats are pretty respectable. Plus, Dwight Freeney is the man.

I'll admit NE's defense is like a frickin' brick wall. With Ty Law hurt and some of the other starters, I think that will help the offense a little.

But, we'll see on Sunday.
