I just got hotlined! I ordered an LG PM325 back when they were back-ordered (the rep assured me they were in stock) on a new line of service. But when I found out about the back order, and when RS got the phones, I cancelled the telesales order (which had not shipped), paid full price at RS, and did an esn swap with one of my existing lines.

So I download my bill tonight, and sprint charged me $277 dollars for the 325, tax, and two weeks of pro-rated service. I called CS, and after spending 45 minutes on the phone explaining the situation, the rep tells me that she is sending my issue to a supervisor to look over, and they will call me Monday to tell me how much the credit will be. No problem, right?...

I try to make another call, and my phone is hotlined! Over two years with sprint, paying $140+ per month without a late payment, and I get hotlined because of their billing error!! Now I've had billing mistakes before, I've gotten incorrect information and a hard time from CS, and I've taken it all in stride. This takes the cake though. And the best part...this all happened right at closing time at the call center, so now I can't get it straightened out until tomorrow.

Anyone know of any other providers with competitive plans for four lines?

Cingular has $9.99 per line on shared accounts.

If you ask me, you are already paying them too much! I got 4 phones shared for just around $100 with taxes. (Of course, I don't know what you got set on your plan to make it that......and most of my plan comes from "retention").

I would say to hang in there, but it looks like Sprint made a big oopsie.

I previously had 3 lines for ~$145 with tax sharing 2500 minutes (+300 bonus), 7pm nights, PCS-PCS, vision & unlimited sms & picturemail grandfathered for free, and F&CA.

A couple months ago I bumped up to the $135/3500 plan and added a line, but I also added an employee discount of 20% or so from my wife's new employer, so the bill really didn't go up that much. I've been very happy with sprints pricing and coverage, and up until now would have never considered changing carriers, but unfortunately, I rely on my pcs phone as a mobile phone, a home phone, and my business phone as well, so I cannot afford to have this sort of problem.
