greetings -
is there any way to access a life timer? (mins, number of calls, etc..), or is there a secret menu? (some kyocera phones are 111111, etc..)
anyone can help me out with that menu / timer?

You type in ##786# and a menu pops up. Press OK then you'll see everything you're asking for.

That's because you don't type it in like you would a call. Type in ##786 and then press the OK button, which is on the top left hand corner of your phone, where you check your text messages. The menu will pop up then.

I also am wondering what RECONDITIONED means. I might be buying a vi660 from a friend, and his phone says its reconditioned. Thank you.

If it says "Reconditioned Status No" that means the phone was not reconditioned.
