Hello everyone. I am one of the creators of a new ringer download site (yes, another one) and looking for active people to test it out. Our site will offer free downloads (no strings attached) once it opens. Currently we need people that like to download ringers (midis and voice and AAC/HQ Ringers) to their handsets and give us feedback on what works and does not work. We also need feedback on how the site is working. If you are a person that has free time on your hands and would not mind helping us out, we would be more then grateful. We still have a lot of work to do, but your help is most needed while we build this site.
3GZERO.com was written a school project site, for a few of us to sharpen are programming skills. We only plan to charge should we be unable to pay the fees for heavy bandwidth usage. The website is accessed 100% on your handset, and all account managing is done on your handset. The only time you will access it from your desktop is to setup your account. We currently have over 5,250+ files do download and looking to add more everyday. But that is why we need you. You feedback and suggestions will keep us going, and make it worth our time to keep working on it.
If you are up to helping us out, and plan to give us as much feedback as possible, then once we open the site to the public we will upgrade your account as a way of saying thanks. To keep your beta testing account with us, all we ask is that you at least log in twice a month and download a ringer or two with in two months. Not too much to ask.
If you are up for it please send an email to betatest@3gzero.com with the following information: Your first name, the state you live in, and the make and model of your handset. We will review your email and send you the URL and access code needed to signup. One account per-person only please. Please note, that PDA handsets (such as the Treo 650) are not supported.
We have a total of 50 beta accounts that we need people to take to help us out.
To keep your account you will be required to access the site once every 15 days, and download a ringer, or screen saver at least once every two month.
This will be the last post (and Thank You DAVE) that we will place on this website.
If you have friends that you want to get signed up, let them know ASAP.
Here is what you get as a beta tester.
- Access to our download library (over 5,000 files).
- Download up to 5 downloads at the start, and then 150 downloads each month.
- Access to our reporting tool. Here you can submit problems, and request ringers and screen savers to be added to the site (yes we will make them for you).
- Access to future additions (My Uploads, PC Web Access, Account manager, and more).
- If your account stays active until we launch the site, your beta account will be automatically upgraded to a plus account.
- And yes, much more.
So how do you know if your phone will work? Point your handset to 3gzero.com and see if you get a link to log-in, if you do then your phone will work. 99% of Sprint PCS handsets will work.
3Gzero.com plans to launch January 27, 2006.

I just signed up as a beta tester 2 hours ago... and now I received this email... I think going from "A Few" downloads a month to **50** the first month and **150** future months is way to extreme. I can understand wanting more help.. but come on..

We have discussed this over and feel that the 5 is not enough and would be best to start all the new Beta testers with 50 downloads for the first month, and each month after that with the 150 downloads untill 3gzero.com launch date. We appreciate all feedback using the report tool, and will respond as soon as possible to all issue\'s. Thank you all very much.

OHhhh that's what you mean! What it is, the amount of dowloads given to us in this first month was 5......alot of people (including me) complained about that. SO, for the first month, we are given 50......and the following months, we will have the full 150 AVAILABLE downloads.

There is still a handful of accounts left. All emails have been replied to. We have had about 3 to 4 of them bouce back, so if you sent in an email and did not get a reply yet, make sure your email address is working.
Also, if your access code is expired make sure to read the email on how to get another one.

We now have videos on our site for members that have a A700, 7400, 535, or 5600 handset.
With in the next few days we will also a guest and member uploading program built that you can upload your own files to your phone (incase you want to use someone elses)

We stopped taking request for a while, but after the last meeting we opened it back up to take a few more testers. All emails that were sent in have been replied to.
The upload (send content to your phone) tool is finished and working. If you are a member access the news and issues area on your phone (after you log-in) to find out how to access it.
