I have little over 150 java games with jad/jar files, but not sure how to embed them so other people can download...I can't even get them to my phone either, if anyone could give me a hand I would gladly host them so everyone could download.

Thanks
Rod

What kind of games? Are they made by any people or like the ones you have to buy?

We are in process of getting them all posted. Later tonight we will post a link so everyone can help test the games

From what I gather these are top of the line java games such as prince of persia and rainbow six, stuff you would normally pay to play. Visionsamaritan has the majority of the games now and will supply you guys with a WAP url so we can all test the games and make sure they're working properly and what phones can use them and what phones can't.

I'm crossing my fingers they are useable by all...there are some great games in the bundle...I can't wait to try to the Fishing game ;)~!

Keep checking the forum, I'm sure Visionsamaritan will have a new thread up by morning!

Enjoy!

great news! I'm trying to host a site along side with VisionSamaritan's help. Maybe could become more like a backup :) Just finished setting up Apache with all the MIME types and absolutely hate it and can't get anything to connect. I'm not behind a router, firewall, or anything. I'm using the exact IP address with and without the port 80 settings applied. Maybe a different http server might do better off.

I setup a site at http://phone.slackerlounge.com a lil over 250 games currently and constantly adding more. Like visionsamaritan's site, it can only be accessed from a sprint phone. Most of the games are sized for MM phones.

I tried bejeweled and Jatdam bowling, bowling doesn't load on my phone, and bejeweled crashes sometimes. Both say application terminated.

What is the difference between MIDP 1.0 and MIDP 2.0 games? I couldn't get Frogger, a 2.0 game, to run but the 1.0 games seem to work fine. Thanks for the site info.

well the 2.0 games wont even download fully for me.. on my 5500.. and the 1.0 games wont run for me..

edit\\ one game so far runs.. the c2m bowling.. not c2m bowling 2 tho.. eh i just tried to bowl and it terminated.. gah

These games are mostly designed for MM phones. MIDP2 games will not run on non-midp2 phones which are only the MM phones. Most of the MIDP 1 games have a resolution higher than the older phones which causes them to not work on older devices. The only way to know for sure is to try.

The 4050 has lots of problems with my format... too much for me to bother trying to fix. I don't think many of the apps will work anyways because of the 4050's cpu etc.

you couldnt just cut copy paste half to another page? ;)

It's scripted. Also, nothing with spaces will work because your phone doesn't know how to translate a space to %20. Also, I don't think many if any of the games will run on the 4050.
