I am ready to update one of my older phones. I am entitled to the $150 new for you rebate program.

However, I do not have vision on my current plan. Most of the new phones available from sprint are vision phones.

If I select a vision phone I was told that I need to add vision to my plan. There is free vision for 2 months then I can cancel vision.

I have a very good retention plan right now. I do not want to change or risk loosing any of the loyality, etc discounts I currently have. What is the risk of adding vision and then cancelling vision on my current plan?

How can I best do this without having sprint screw up my current plan/rates. I worry when I call up sprint on the phone and make such changes to my account. They never seem to be able to send anything in writting, email or fax until AFTER they have made the changes. Then going back to the original plan is a real problem if there is a mistake.

do it by email and then you will have a written record in case they screw it up

thanks for the suggestion. I thought sprint customer support email was just for questions. Not to request actual changes to your account.

As far as I know YES they can do any changes to your account just like a phone rep could.

Funny, I remember when I upgraded to a vision phone (a couple years ago) I was told I couldn't have Vision put on my account (something about wireless web upgrade?)

Oh well, I like the 1/10 cent a kb I somehow got instead :hee:
