Well, I updated my thread in the trading post about a repeater.
Thread Here (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=56410)
Now it's showing that someone posted a response to it... Yet when I click it, it only shows my 2 posts...
What's going on ?

That user, dolomite, is on an ignore list for some reason.

Hola

does each person has their own ignore list, or you put them on ignore list for everyone. I thought it would be like IM, only people who block him/her can't see them, but everyone else can?

I don't have anyone on my ignore list....

Why would Dolomite be on ignore??

Well, why put someone on "Global Ignore" and still allow them to post ? That makes no sense at all.

so that they can see their posts but no one else can. i recieved a pm from him last week and couldnt see it.

Just seems like a waste....If you're not going to allow someone to post where others can see it then just don't allow them to post at all.

That is a very weird thing to do to someone. Just ban the person don tease them

That's what I'm sayin too... Now I'm kinda mad, cuz I wanted to know what they had to say.

He wanted a repeater also.

Let's not turn this into a big commotion. It's nothing but the way some things are done around here a lot goes on behind the scenes. fini

just curious, but has anyone actually told dolomite that his postings don't show up? seems like extra punishment if that's the case.

"Dolomite", sounds like a saying a character said on an old 80's show? Where a guy called "JJ" was the lead character. Forgot the sitcom name though?

yeah, that was "Dyno-MITE!!", not dolomite

dolomite is a rock as well as the nickname of an old r&b type singer/comedian.

Dolomite was a pimp in the 70's, and JJ always said "DYNOMITE"

It is a feature that is offered by vBulletin. It is called Tachy Goes to Coventry. What it does is "This setting allows you to set certain users as being globally ignored. Their posts etc. are not seen by any users except themselves. This gives them the illusion that they are still functioning members of the forum when in reality nobody is seeing their posts."

How is that annoying. I wonder how many users are on the list.

It's annowing because posts show the last user who posted, the post number ect. and it just throws that all off... Little things like that annoy me :D

it's like manti said - a lot of things go on behind the scenes. *draws curtains*
