So I've been a sprint customer for 3 years now, I'm at my 18 month point on my current plan, which is 2000 minutes at $100 + 2 extra lines at $10 each + Free and Clear America (+$10) + PCS to PCS (+5) for $135 - 25% corporate discount + tax.
now, I want to add a 4th line to my service, and was told this would cost $20!, now this doesn't make me so happy, considering I could be paid to get new phones w/ cingular and they are only $10 for add a lines). the other issue is that I have some old phones, a samsung 8500, an older nokia and a treo 300. I know I can do the mail in rebate thing, but I'd rather not, can retention just credit your account? How hard is it to swing that?
another question, can one add a line w/o getting a new contract (i.e. temporary thing), and how would this affect future discount. i.e. I have an old unused 8500 so would temporarily activate it if I could get the new activation discount in the future (would be willing to get rid of the number as well if need be)
finally, what's the best way to get into retention? i.e. I would rathe not call to cancel and have them tell me "you're cancelled".
