I am currently looking at the debug (service screen) menu for the first time on my 4050 to find out the signal strength. There are two dBm listings and im not sure which is signal. One says. Rx Power its -103 dBm and the other is RxEc/Io and its 26 dBm. What does each stand for? thanks.
EDIT: Also, how do you exit the screen? When I press enter it doesnt do anything so i just had to turn the phone off and back on to get rid of the debug menu

What's the code you used to get there?
All I know is the Rx Power is probably the important one. Rx stands for Receiving and Tx stands for transmitting I think. Don't know what the Ec/Io would mean... Anyways, I'd bet the signal meter is tied to the Rx Power value.

Ec/I0 is signal-to-noise ratio--an indicator of the strength of *your* part of the signal relative to the overall signal (remember, CDMA has multiple users in the same channel, so you could have a strong signal but a lot of users on the channel and still have crappy reception).
