I just bought the last a680 from a Sprint store and I really like the phone so far. However, there is one thing that is bothering me. How do I get the clock on the external display to stay on? I have gone through so many threads and haven't seen anything regarding this. From what I have gathered it seems that you can somehow keep the time on the outside. It is really irratating and in my personal opinion completely defeats the purpose of having an external screen. I like everything else about the phone except this. Please help!

I think he means a continuously illuminated external display...but you can't. You can set your backlight to 8, 15 or 30 seconds, but when your phone is closed, your display will eventually turn off to conserve power (the battery is a bit on the weak side). You can illuminate the display, however, by pressing the volume rocker on the left-hand side (duration is set to backlight setting).

Thanks, I guess I just got used to my old phone which was the n400 which is a half flip phone. As long as I can get the time without opening the flip and I will be okay. Thanks again
