I can't seem to get ANY picture to display on the external LCD with my A680!! The only time a piture shows up there is when I take a picture with Self Portrait mode (Closed phone, camera still on). Other than that, there's just the clock and the icons...how do I get a screensaver/picture to show there?

Make sure you have a "Saved to Phone" image set as the screensaver; then:
Menu -> Settings -> Display -> External LCD -> Set Style to 'My Pictures'

Oh My God. I SWEAR that option wasn't there before!!
Anyway, is there any way to get something I uploaded (from Focus) into my saved pictures or w/e so I can have it displayed externally?
Can you use picture mail from the computer? If so, I have my screensaver on my computer, so I could picture mail it to myself, and then save it...
Like possibly mailing it to my sprint email or something?

For some reason... I didn't think this could be done. Now I am trying to do it myself... but every time i click on 'My Pictures', it says 'Please assign Screen Saver First'. What does this mean? I already have my screen saver set. I am confused.

You have to have it set as the pic from the Saved to Phone folder or from the My Picturs folder

For a picture to be set as an external display, it must have originated on a Sprint picturephone. Picturemail is limited strictly to cameraphone pictures, therefore nothing can be uploaded that wasn't taken by a phone.

They really need to change that, cuz it's a load of crap that I have to go through all of this just to put the picture I want on the external LCD.

Yes...take a picture of it. Don't expect the system to change, however...won't happen.
