I called yesterday to add lock line for my new Treo 650. I told the lady that I heard the policy was changing. She said that now it's $5 a month and a $50 deductable which I already knew but also she said no more refurbs!? That they would give you a NEW phone with a claim.

Also, you have to set it up within the first 30 days of owning your phone, they won't let you add it later on.

I think this is great news! Can anyone confirm this?

There still handing out refurbs, have your rep look at the esn history and you’ll see it’s been someone else’s phone. On newer phones they don’t have refurbs yet so you may luck out there. Then again how many people own a PDA, and how many refurbs you think they would have? (Very little, so yah I can understand the new phone concept for PDA phones.)

They can still do refurbs for PDA's but it really matters if they are available. Lockline claims will still be refurbs but sometimes if one is not available they may send a new one.
