Hi all,

My 1-year contract just expired and Sprint offered me a 1000 minute/7pm N/W plan for $40 if I sign up for 2 years, and a 750 minute/8pm N/W if I sell my soul for 1.

Here's the dilemma...I'm a Canadian student studying here in the States and I know I'll be here for another 12 months for sure, but after that, well...unless I get a job here, I might have to head back to Canada (any offers for a mild-mannered, house-broken CS grad student?).

The sales rep said that if I have to move, the early cancellation penalty will be waived, as my PCS service won't transfer to Sprint Canada. So, if I take the 2-year deal and the friendly folks at INS decide to ship me off a year later, Sprint won't charge me the cancellation fee? Almost seems too good to be true, right? Can anyone verify this?

This is true. If you move out of the service area, they will waive the ETF. You may have to prove that you have moved.

Thanks for the response!
