LG 325 Software Version?

Anyone know what the latests software version is for the 325? Mine currently shows (Settings - Phone Info - S/W Version ):

S/W Ver. PM325V16
H/W Ver. 1.1
PRL Ver. PRL 10025

Anyone have anything on their 325 different then this?

The reason I am asking btw is that I have having a hard time finding a BT headset that doesn't have an echo problem. Also, when my 325 is paired with my laptop, I get no services showing up available on the phone using discovery. I was just wondering whether either of those could be a software issue. I haven't found where the phone shows a version number for the BT stack on the phone however.

I had huge problems with Motorola headsets. Just switched to a Sony and have been echo-free ever since. I did some research and it seems a good percentage of people are having issues with Motorolas. Not sure if it's really the headsets or the phones, but I love my new BT Sony and have had zero issues.

I have the Sony-Ericcson HBH-660, which works great. A co-worker bought the Sony-Ericcson HBH-300 and doesn't have the echo problem either. (The boom on the latter is a little larger, but the sound is crystal clear--even in the wind.)

If you want to save a few bucks, there's a dealer on Ebay that sells both.

No. My headset has operated perfectly. It's actually the first BT headset (on Sprint or Verizon) that has not caused a problem for me.

oh back on topic. i wish they make a software update soon. i want one of the LED's to light up when you get a text message(maybe red) and voice mail (maybe green). is there a hack or away to make this happen?

yeah that would be kewl... i just ended up getting voice command a few years ago. i was tired of entering my number into every new phone i get.

voice command and the $5.00 per month may be the reason Sprint disabled contact transfer from the bluetooth. I would pay to use it the BT transfer since it is faster to dial the phone. I was not a huge fan of voice command since it was not one step to outlook.

A problem with Picture Mail, and a problem with the progress bar.

according what we were told, picture mail is the most important fix, but I bet there are smaller fixes as well that no one really noticed

I also have the 660 and love it. I must admit, however, that based on a recent phone call, I was told there was an "annoying" echo on the other end of the line. This was the only time I have heard about an echo. From my end, I have never heard an echo.

There is a menu option that is called update phone sw - it will check to see if there is a more recent update than your phone has...then asks you if you would like to upgrade to the most recent version. I believe its menu->settings->update phone sw.

could be wrong on that since my GF is the one w/ the 325 and so I don't have the phone in front of me....could someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually I allready tried that. I can't remember the exact wordings of the message but it said I cannot do it.

What it says when I try to update the software is "Update Package Download Failure". I went to a sprint store yesterday to see if they could give me the update. They guy I talked to said there was no update. Even though if you guys have it that there must be one.

That guy was a bit strange though. When I was telling him about the issue with my Picture mail and showing my MSID as the address and only being able to login to picture mail with my MSID and not my phone number he then verified what I said by saying, "So when you go into Voicemail it doesn't say your number?" Then I explained it to him again. Then he sends a picture message to himself, he then proclaims "Wow, when you send a picture message to someone it comes up with your MSID! That is really wierd." At this point I stabbed myself in the eye with the pen that was chained down to the counter. But another guy assured me that it is still in the porting process and it will fix itself. He sounded good when he said it so I suppose I will believe him for now.

Is there any way to get the update besides downloading with the menu on the phone or going to a store? If I called *2 do they have some crazy way of sending it to me?

nathan, I had that problem. I turned the phone off for about 15 minutes, then turned it back on and tried again. It worked that time.

Well I shut off my phone for a while then I tried it 4 times or so. Then finally it worked. Now the number is correct when I send picture messages... strange.

I was browsing some hardware review sites, and saw in one talkback section that Sprint told someone that the 325 could now sync with iSync, so I went to look for a new software version with the phone, and nothing.

I get the little secure lock icon, the up/down speed arrows flash for awhile, then nothing happens. No errors or anything, just sits with no activity on the 'Checking for update...', and no error message. I'm already up to the v17 firmware, so is this what happens when it doesn't find an update?
