View Full Version : My Resignation

MsRandall

I would like to resign as a Moderator of Sprint Users. I appreciate the honor to be offered and awarded such a position but have decided that my efforts and opinions are definately going in an opposite direction from Sprint users Owners and Admin. Thanks for the opportunity and it was definately fun but it is time to say Good Bye....

Please make my resignation effective immediately....

Sincerely,

Ms Randall

What's going on here? Two good people leaving, saying it's owner and administrator are to blame. Something else is up here and I hope we find out the truth! :furious:

What ever happened, happened for a reason, folks... on both parties sides. I feel it would be unprofessional for Msrandall or anyother Moderator or forum member to start mud throwing here. It's Dave's forum and if he has rules or an idea of how he wants things run, then it's his call, not MsRandall's or anyone elses.
Enough said.

I really dont think Msrandall needed to be cautioned like that by you. She hasnt slung mud, or even commented to any of the public inquiries surrounding her resignation. Contrary to your post, she has remained the epitome of professionalism.

Don't treat her like a child.

As for the other posters, they are entitled to wonder why the mass exodus from the "moderator team".

There is a difference between throwing mud, and telling the truth. Don't assume they are one in the same.

True there's enough of that on here already. But when two people suddenly quit doing something at the same time for the same reason, well it's kinda scary.

I will maintain that I have been very professional...I get at least 5 PM's a day regarding my resignation. I dont go into details because that it between Dave and I and no one else. Most of all I was not forced to resign it was my personal choice.

I have not blamed anyone for my resignation. I modded because it was fun and I felt I could make a difference on this site or forum. When the FUN was gone it was time for me to re-evalute my mod job here.

I would be lying saying all mods and admins got along fine 100% of the time when opinions of how, why and when things were to be done on SU...Many of us cant agree on which phone to buy here so neither would 5 people agree on everything.

Most of all this is Daves forum and when a moderator doesnt agree 110% with the admin of the site it is time to resign period...The mod job is to uphold rules and policies on a forum but first the mod must enternalize them as 110% right or correct...

This is my final response regarding my resignation....It is over.. SU will go on without me being a MOD. Most of all I am definately enjoying being a regular member of SU. PERIOD

Two Mods leaving is not a mass exodus.

Quite a few of us are still here and we are doing our jobs.

The Countess is having "Twins." msrandall felt that the direction SU was going did not meet her expectations.

Why the big agitation of contrary opinions?

It's done, over, fini. Let's move on.

HUmmm.... you need to re-read... but just in case, I quoted both of you! Two people leaving equates to a mass exodus to you? :eyebrow:
A PM to Dave would have done the job. A public thread with a quick line in it saying I'm leaving because I don't aggree with SU's owners and ADMIN... and we're going in oppoisite directions sounds like someone trying to create a big Sh*t storm! Those are personal issues that should be kept to one's self. You gotta go?... you gotta go!
Having a baby is always good news! Congrats Msrandall if that is the reason you are going. Your hard work as a Moderator will be missed. :)

Again my resignation caused no S**tstrom...and I said I didnt agree 100% with Dave okay?? Not a problem for me or the other 460+ people who viewed this thread. I did PM Dave and my thread was created because Dave would have created one anyway..IE Yummi's thread that Dave himself created. Dont read into this farther because you dont know what goes on behind the scenes....It wasnt a flame I made an adult comment on why without details ...I am sure Dave, Manti, Jagg, Yummi and now Guy can appreciate my opinions and they know that it is nothing personal...because OMG this the internet and SU is not my whole world...

You are entitled to your opinions but as I would say as a MOD...LETS AGREE TO DISAGREE...over! :D

Ted:

There are those that do. But what makes us all comeback is that we can all get along, be different, and exchange differences of oppinion. And best of all we can still call each other "friends" and Forum Members. Part of being a community. Some, and it's no one really on this thread, can get really heated when we all have to remember is that feelings are felt different in a "typed/contexted" arena. It's hard to know what the person(s) are trying to say or express without seeing a face or feeling of voice. Its a problem with Email as with anything else!

Happy New Year y'all!
Time to get the Champainge ready to get ready!

D.

P.S. Ted... Happy Anniversary! 5 years! Congrats.

First thanks for the aniv wishes. To you and everyone on the board.

Second I totally agree about this community. I feel among friends here. And your thoughts about the subjective nature of viewing others posts echoes my thoughts from a while back:

Sorry, I meant mediterranean climate

We are all so spoiled here by the not so over the top summers, and not so extreme winter ;)

It never snows or gets freezing there...It also never get so 120 degrees....

But I do have to agree, San Francisco is always a tad colder than the east bay

Just got back and too tired to sleep so here are some pictures from my trip to Santa Monica for the New Years celebration... We stayed at The Fairmont Miramar Hotel Santa Monica...which was a surprise from my husband....We saw Ashlee Simpson who was staying at the hotel and Chi Mcbride from I Robot....

If you ever visit Santa Monica the hotel is stunning... we had a 2 bedroom bungalow....definately a nice treat...then we went to Universal Studios and shopping...I had an excellent time...
