NINTENDO DS availability?

i'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right forum but i am desparately trying to find a nintendo ds in my area. i've gone to every electronics store in the mall, 3 best buys, circuit city, 3 walmarts, target, toys r us, and a few video game stores. and needless to say its sold out everywhere every day i check. i'm getting sick of calling and going to all these stores everyday to get a "no we're sold out." "well do you know when you might be getting some?" "maybe tommorrow" then i check back next morning: nothing. so what i'm wondering is if there is anyway to check local availabilty on the internet? i've tried many different searches but can't find anything. sorry for the dumb question but i'm desparate. and i really don't want to buy on ebay so thats not an option.

hmmm...seems they are all over the bay area stores

ask all the stores when they are getting the next shipments. or try online. i think it's still available on amazon.com

*edit: i just checked amazon.com. it doesn't say the Nintendo DS is sold out or anything. you better go on that site quick! go go go. ;)

check game stop and eb games. Have you gone to the Woodlands Mall they should have plenty of store with the system?

Yeah i went to the woodlands mall. Eb games doesn't have any and doesn't know when they might be getting any. Everywhere i go says they aren't sure when a shipment will come in. They say ebay is the only place i'll be able to get it before christmas. But i don't want to pay amazon's price. And i don't want to go ebay and pay200 plus 22ship then have to wait 3 days.

Yeah toys r us sold out earlier in the day when i checked on sunday.

i work at a walmart in iowa in electronics and we have been getting about 12 nintendo ds systems about once a week usually on mondy.. we got some today they probably wont last until tues...a lot of the small town wal-mart stores seem to be getting more of the ds than the larger stores like ours so you might want to check some wal-marts in the middle of nowhere in tx
