Lg 325 and a500 chargers compatible?

They seem to have the same tip.... was wondering if I could use my old charger with the new phone....would be nice to have a spare charger at the office.

If it is the barrell charger then yes.

The A500 was before Sprint switched to the standardized charger, so I'd hold off on that until you get definite confirmation.

No, the A500 was the first Vision phone with the standardized charger (along with the N400...I believe the A460 was the first non-Vision phone with the standardized charger). So yes, the A500 charger will work with the PM325.

I don't know where the word standardized came from, but although they all seem to have a 5v 1ma output they do have different size connectors pushing a longer connector that is designed for a shorter connector can cause damage.

The word "Standardized" is on all of the packaging of the Sprint branded standardized chargers you buy at the store and online.

My A460 charger was really long, but it came with a couple of these rubber donuts stuck on there that would only allow the barrel to go in so far.

The OP was asking if he can use the a500 charger, it is by no means standardized as it has a very short connector, my a760 charger has a long connector and my a500 charger does not fit my a760 properly at all. It says in the manual use ONLY the charger supplied. Just because it fits and chargers doesn't neccessarily mean it working properly. I would be real careful and contact the manufacture before playing with electricity especially during the xmas tree time.

No, it is the same charger. There is a little rubber donut that can go over the metal connector part to make it shorter. As long are you're careful with the connector part and dont bend it or break it off it'll be fine.
