I LOVE my Toshiba VM4050 right now. but soon i feel like I'll need a new phone. I've pretty much chosen the LG 535, but I had a few questions on it.
Since when I was choosing before between the 4050 and the A680, does the LG 535 have some kind of user-independent voice recognition program in it? Cause the Sprint Samsungs have it and I LOVE that feature. I searched around and tried to find out if it does or not. I know LG does have phones that do have voice recognition, but I want to know if the 535 has it.
Still a question left answered, Does the 535 have a QVGA screen? I'm thinking NO, since the screen size doesn't seem big enough.
Also, ONE thing I ABOSLUTELY LOVE about my 4050 was the ability to use it as a flashlight. I could turn on the camera, select "ALWAYS ON" for flash, and the flash would stay on continually so I could see almost EVERYTHING in the dark. Some phone lyke the 8200 and the E715 have it too, so I was wondering if the 535 maybe would have it.
LOL, im just hoping the LG MM535 is more of a replacement (meaning it has all features of 4050 and adds more features) than getting a new phone.
Not sure about your other questions but taken from Phonescoop:
Display Type: LCD (Color)
Size: 176 x 220 pixels
262,000 colors / TFT
It has a 262k screen, but I don't think is it QVGA because it has to have a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels for that right?
Also it has Voice Dialing but I don't know of what kind it is (whether you have to train it or not)

if the camera is based on the one for the VX8000 for Verizon, this phone will be a winner for anyone who loves to take pictures...that cuppled with mp3 player and MM capabilities, and you got yourself a solid lil phone :tu:

So...reps are bringing them to the stores...how far off does everyone think it is. I'm dying for this thing...my 5300 is hanging on by a hair now (outer lcd never comes on thanks to the hinge breaking).

another question...the 5600 can play mp3s in stereo over a headset...and the 535 will play it over the stereo speakers...but will the 535 have the stereo headset option too? I didn't see anything on phonescoop...thinking maybe I overlooked it somewhere.

Guess we need to wait for it to come out...that is an interesting question though...I hope you can play the mp3s through the speakers

I'm pretty sure that you will be able to play it through the speakers...seems to suggest it. I mean...why else would it need stereo sound? Not for speakerphone.
I'm just wondering if you will be able to plug a stereo headset in. It would be much better being able to quiet it.
I know that I will definitely use the speakers, but I would use the headset just as much.

I saw the VX-8K's camera- that things BLOWS me away.... it's better than every other cellphone camera I've ever seen... Even the spectacular Nokia 7610 (although just by a hair.)
I doubt the Mm535 will have the same camera.... the 8K has a CCD sensor, where the 535 appears to have a CMOS sensor. Don't get your hopes up for anything stellar... It's LG, after all.
And no, it will NOT have a QVGA screen. It will have a 262K screen, but it won't be as sharp or as rich as the Toshiba's Poly-Silicon display.
No word either on the interface, although it appears to (hopefully) be different than that of the VX7K and VX8K- both of which have perhaps the worst interface of any cellphone I've used.

i read in some thread that the LG 535 has an FM radio. can anyone confirm it? cause if it does, it would be like my own little mini jukebox. :hee:

I haven't seen any LGs with FM tuners. I could be wrong, but I doubt it will have it.

Ahhh. No one listens to the radio anyway. You only listen to the radio if you don't have ANYTHING else to listen to. With a SD slot you'll have plenty of songs to work with.

No, you're entirely wrong. The lack of an FM radio tuner is why nobody wants to buy an iPod.... according to Creative Labs CEO.
I heard the 535 is full duplex speakerphone, anyone know?

I don't know..... but I'd be more than happy if it was just a half duplex 2 way speakerphone.... knowing LG's history.

So then why are millions of people buying it then?

To answer people's questions:
1) YES, the SPEAKER PHONE IS FULL DUPLEX AND IT'S FANTASTIC.
2) to access music videos directly from the media player, save them in the /MEDIA directory. If you didn't do this, you can still access them under tools/MiniSD Card.
