thinking about ending the 5500's life? 99% of the time you will get another 5500.

Is that tuna or salmon I smell. Once again lock line is not an upgrade programme.

they didn't do it as a gift. they probably didn't have any 8100's left.

They will do it, but in no way should it be expected.

Wow, no one added that if you made a claim on your 5500 now, you can't expect Lockline to replace it with a phone that hasn't even been released. Heck, even if you make a claim after the 5600 is released, it's highly unlikely you would get it as a replacement for many many months. Two reasons:
1) It will probably take some time for Lockline to get refurbs of the 5600 once it's out
2) Like D said, there's probably plenty of 5500s in refurb circualation for them to send you.

Baaaaaahaaaaaaa......um....no
You can however, sell it and put that money toward a 7400. That is the ethical solution...in case you were looking for one.

You can't exchange a phone you received via a Lockline claim with a new phone at a Sprint store. Why?
First, the phone you receive from Lockline will likely be a refurb. You can't exchange a used phone for a new one.
Second, you didn't get the phone you want to exchange from the store, so technically there is nothing to *return*.
Third, you are likely well past the 14-day return policy anyway for your original phone.
So, essentially, you're trying to scam a brand new phone for yourself for free. Customers like you are exactly why Sprint has buckled down on rebates and Lockline has upped its deductable.
Luckily, since you're here asking us how to abuse the system, I don't think Sprint has too much to be worried about.
Get your refurb from lockline and sell it. Take that cash and put it toward the phone you want. That, as Hte2W8 said, is the most ethical and honestly the most feasible solution for you.
