I have a 4900 and want a flip with good reception. Vision is not necessary, but reception quality is!

I am debating between the Motorola V60V and Samsung A680...any thoughts on the matter? Is there another phone I should consider. I came up with these two based on ratings all over the web and your user forum.

Thanks in advance for all your help....

From what I understand, both of these phones have pretty good reception. It seems to come down to whether or not you want Vision, since both are the same price. You also gain a video camera with the Samsung A680, so that's something else to consider.

There are a ton of phones in this price range; you could almost decide merely on what color phone you want :). Can't really go wrong with any phone on the Sprint lineup.

I was trying to decide between a V60V and the A760, ended up going with the latter, and dont regret it at all. I didnt need a video camera (c'mon I got a 500 dollar Canon camera if I really want to take pictures. I cant stand camera phone quality), speakerphone is really great, and the 760 has readylink which may be beneficial in the future.

v60 or a680, there is no competition. take the a680. it is a beautiful phone, sound is great, and reception is remarkable as well. i could make and recieve calls, plus use vision at full capacity when phone showed one or zero bars of service.

Is the V680 the best flip phone for reception AND features?

From Experience: Had the V60 series for a year and a half. just got the a680 2 weeks ago... PLEASE STEP AWAY FROM THE MOTOROLA... KEEP YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM. There. Now that that's done... take this a680 and be on your way!!!

Im impartial, but I have seen a lot of 680's coming back to our store for busted mics and crappy ringers. That said, 1 out of 100 sold return aint that bad I guess......Oh well.

I don't really. There are random quirks with the phone and I've been through 3 of them due to a blown ringer speaker each time. My 2nd line, however, is still on the 1st one and hers works fine, tho she's experiences some random quirks with hers too. :eyebrow:

I've had both of these phones and would recommend the V60V over the A680 in reception, but the UI for the Moto is much more antiquated than the sansumg. Overall, I'd go with the A680 since they are selling for cheap.

Actually, I tossed the moto for the a680 BECAUSE of the reception. Calls NOT ringing through at all... standing next to someone with the same phone and same carrier. Happened a few times a day. Now that other person is having the same problems with theirs.
