The only ones that are remotely alike are the A660/740/680...

I've been a fan of Samsungs and will probably continue to buy them if they come out with something I like. However I think the most recent models are unimpressive and suffer from quality control & software issues more than other brands do.

actually i might buy the vm4500 does it get good battery life good = longer than 1 day unlike the motorola crap charge every 5 hours

I'm just dandy with my Sammy. Who are you to tell people to stop buying stuff? Your opinion is just that: an opinion. I know alot of people whom don't realize they look alike, nor care. So it goes for most of the market: casual users who don't pay attention.

Hmmm...I've had dealing with Nokia before, and if I'm not mistaken....THERE IS NO INNOVATION! They are all candy bar or odd shaped and all the same crap. I'm not in any way impressed.

Yeah, we've been over Samsung's need for new designs. I agree. But why stop making it if it WORKS?

Haha, I woned 2 nokia's around 3 years ago,and they both sucked, I'm sure theyve gotten better but I have no reason not to like samsung. My n400 and my a620 both rock, me personally havent had a problem with either so....sorry, no deal. All nokia seems to have are wierd lookin phones, yeah, maybe if samsung made a slider with theyre quality that I am expecting then yes, I would buy one, but just for looks means nothing to me. Gimme a phone that works.

Nokia's on GSM are sorkhorses and extremely solid. CDMA is a different story especially given the trial and error period for chip development since they do not use Qualcomm's chips. I understand they have improved dramatically in the CDMA world. I still have my 6185 on CDMA and it just won't die. YMMV

I personally like the design of some of the newer Nokias however the screens are crap and so is the user interface.

I like my Sanyo and it works just fine.

Dont lump Sanyo into the whole 'design sucks' umbrella. I've gone off on these very forums about how evvvvvery Samsung phone is the same. And if you look at all phones in their global catalog, they're really all lumps of silver plastic with 2"-or-less screens. Sanyo has, by far, the better design team. Look at their global catalog and you'll see stuff that'll knock yer socks off.
