Hey all ... I'm doing some research here and I have a question. I know I can go to HoFo and look in the T-mo section but I want an unbiased, fair answer.

How does the t-zones compare to PCS vision? It's quite a bit cheaper... is it comparable speed? There has to be some reason why it's less... I know they used to have a mb limit, but now all t-zones are unlimited.

Anyone have a good explanation as to why Sprint's is $15 and T-mo is $5?

Vision = up to 144 kbs T-zones up to 56kbs

Vision includes 100 text messages and unlimited picture sending + $5 credit to buy content with.

I have used both and I think that Vision is much better. T-Zones seemed much slower, and also took a long time to start up and exit. (at least on a samsung e105 IDK about other phones.)

I think the point of speed is moot when it comes to browsing on your phone. I've used both and the difference is minimal for phone screen browsing. Tethering is where you could REALLY see the ddifference. Now the real question is the reliability. Vision, it has yet to malfunction for me, but I can't say the same for T-Zones. It worked one day and not another. It would work now, and not work 5 minutes later.

T-Mobile is stuck on GPRS...Sprint uses 1xrtt...about 3 times as fast, and you still get more for your money at Sprint...;)

I can honestly say that when surfing the web on my phones I can tell very little difference. Barely an eye blink.

I do not do that and I did not claim to. Oh and you're really not supposed to tether.

My wife recently switched from SPCS to T-Mobile, I'm still with SPCS. T-Mobile's GPRS is slower than Vision, but it only costs $4.99/month for internet access on a phone.

But for $19.99/month you have full rights to tether a pda or laptop to your phone via bluetooth or cable. No sneaking around hoping you won't be caught by the Vision Police.
