why in the holy snot can I send a text message to other carriers....but cannot recieve from MetroPCS subscribers? they can get my messages fine...but get an error message when they try and reply? I called sprint about it and apparently they swear up and down that it's not the network, mind you they still have yet to resolve my call waiting issue and all, and every time I call customer care, my call is mysteriously dropped (hmmmm....) what in the holy snot is up with that?

MetroPCS users don't have "open" access to text messaging as most people do. They can receive text at no charge but must subscribe to the text talk package to send. So unless they subscribe, they'll receive your text but will be unable to reply as you already experienced.

This has nothing to do with Sprint.

Actually....the person that has the metropcs service IS a subscriber to text messaging on metropcs....and I've had no probs whatsoever with my old carrier (AT&T) as far as sending and recieving text messages to and from metropcs phones.....number 2....I even tried emailing the phone and all from my phone as well as my comp....funny thing....my comp email went through...but my pcs mail came up with an error....

So yeah...it has to do with Sprint.

Update: right now I just have an email address set up on a domain that I currently run and have people text that that cannot get throught by normal means and all (Metro PCS) and just have that mail forwared to my txt messaging and all and that seems to be working fine.

And Sprint keeps opening trouble tickets and then closing them with no explanation whatsoever. Gotta love em...and the sad fact....I work for them too as a sprint dealer for radio shack....gotta love it.
