One of our local radio stations here in southern california is now telling Sprint listeners to dial #939 from their phone to call directly to the radio station. I tried it and it works. When we call # phone numbers, is it just like dialing a regular phone number as far as the minute charges? First time i've heard of us being able to dial # phone calls.

The # dialing numbers is just a shortcut the radio station has worked out w/ SPCS.
This was designed as a promotional item for basically free advertising.
The announcer states something like "now dial #939 on your SPCS handset to win a pair of tickets."
It also works out for the listener as they don't have to remember or dial a full number.
That is all there is too it.

Alot of the station here in Florida have the same type of numbers. They are airtime free for us.

Since when are you Google? I know what there phone number and name is, it's a country music radio station. I just wanted to make sure that when we dial # and then the three digit number that it doesn't cost any more than regular air time. :D
