Hey just recently my toshi screen flickers uncontrollably for like 4-5 times and then goes back to normal. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I also noticed that if i leave it open sitting on my desk, the backlight will come on as if i touched a button and then shut off again. This happens every 30seconds or so.
Anyideas on why it is doing this?
Its starting to get annoying because i'll be using vision and then it'll flicker a bunch of times.
If I cant fix it I may just get it exchanged at costco for another Toshi or maybe even the 7400 later... not sure if it'll hold up till then tho.
Any help is greatly appreciated... thanks all of ya's...

Someone else awhile back had this problem. It's a bizarre bug that happens when the planets align, and your screen backlight time is set to a certain time (from what I was able to judge.)
Try setting your screen backlight to "always on," and also make sure the scheduler isn't acting haywire.

hmmm... that could be the problem... i set my backlight to 5 seconds instead of 8 seconds a little while back to save some power since i've been using the phone more now. I figured any extra power i could get would be worth it.
Anybody know if the powersave mode to normal mode for the backlight makes a noticable difference in battery life?

Okay I think the 4050 can retire now. It had a good run but it really did not. Sprint did not allow any features to hit the masses. No MobiTv or nothing

Either way.. anything is better then your 6200..Okay you got me I just wanted to bring up the fact that the 4050 was always on my mind. I really wish the phone could have had a good run. Sprint and Sanyo is cool but something different is a good thing. Now Sanyo MM5600 is on deck and its speakphone king. Damn the Speakphone sounds great.
As for my Sanyo 6200, this is the best phone for me at the moment. I really do not need all the extra stuff. I posted my Treo 650 on Ebay for $350. I would miss it but I wear perfect fitting jeans and in a club with the big phones is a Buzz kill.
I really wish Sprint would make a super small phone with 5 hours of talk time. Basically the 6200 a little shorter, color screen and flush antenna. Now that would be nice.

Well if you had the phone for less than a year, its better to go into the Store and get Sprint to mail you a new one. It cost nothing. Plus, its almost certain that you would receive a 4050.
Now if you call Guess line (lock line). You would probably would receive a different model than a 4050. So beware.

My toshi started giving me crap about 2 weeks ago. What happens is sometimes when I hit the menu button, a yellow screen comes up with the word cancel in it. When I hit end to cancel it out and clear the screen, the phone freezes. I have had it to the store twice and they are switching it out for a 7400. Hopefully it will come soon!
