I've never downloaded anything with my free monthly $2.99. So maybe the vision experts here can help steer me to what to download every month.

How did you get that? Does everybody get a free 2.99 credit?

I get $5 credit/month.

I used to use it on the stupid Sporting News Fantasy Source program but it sucks. So now I use it for RealOne.. but that sucks too.

Allup - I think most people who subscribe to Vision have some sort of download credit, but Sprint is so vague about it that most people don't even know. If it wasn't for this site I would have never known I had download credits to use each month!

If you just access Vision on a per-kilobyte charge basis, you don't get any download credit.

If you subscribe to the $15 unlimited Vision "Premium Pack" (without PictureMail) you can spend $10/month on ringers, games, etc. from Sprint anything under $10 will be credited back on your bill.

With the $15 unlimited Vision "Pictures Pack" $5 of your credit automatically goes to paying for PictureMail, so you only have a $5 monthly credit remaining to spend on games and ringers and stuff. It doesn't matter if you spend $5.99 on a game -- $5 will be credited back when you get your bill and you'll only pay whatever extra you purchased.

This is true on the $15 unlimited plans as far as I know (defintely should fit you if you've come to Sprint since last December... that is when I got my plan). You can find this information on the Sprint site, but it's a hassle. If you aren't sure if you have the download credits or not, check your previous bills when you have purchased something and see if it was automatically credited off. If it wasn't -- or if you just don't know -- call Sprint.

I usually buy a game with my $5 credit. I'm freaking addicted to Krazy Kings & Bejeweled (even though I always lose!)...

I was under the impression that the Vision Video/ReadyLink package is not entitled to the $5 credit. I guess they really do keep us confused.

so you get all your downloads for free from sprint with the old vision? I have the old vision but have never wanted to dowload anything there before.

Thanks MacAddiict, I was wondering though, I'm not sure what my Vision entails. I have a $10 unlimited Vision grandfathered into my current contract. When I call *4 to get my minute usage, it tells me that I have unlimited data transfer. I've sent a number of pictures with out extra charge and I never subscribed to picturemail, so i'm not really sure what I have with my vision. So i'm kinda wondering if I had a download credit, what would it be?

ziggy4500, I didn't even see your post before I last posted, when you call *4, does it tell you that you have unlimited data transfer?

So i'm kinda wondering if I had a download credit, what would it be?

I have only been with Sprint for a year, so I'm not sure about the older $10 Vision plan - I'm sure someone else knows what the download credit is, if any?

I'd imagine it was $2.99 or $5 - wouldn't make sense for them to give more than that. If no answer pops up in this thread you might want to just call *2 and ask a rep... no need to waste that download credit each month if you have one!

To get back to the thread topic, for $2.99 I'd recommend Bejeweled Multiplayer (it's $2.99 for 60 days). It's the only time limited game I've bought from Sprint but I'm absolutely addicted. Snood is also a pretty good deal for $2.99, but most of the other games I've bought have been more than that.

As far as things I don't recommend: 4inaRow and Galaxy Patrol.

can you use your vision credit towards one of the sprint tv channels like Adult Swim?

YES. It covers any type of download. I use my $10 credit toward mobile tv every month.

so is there any way to officially see what you have for credit ($10 or $5)? like maybe when you log on or something. I make my own ringers and stuff, but if i could get a decent game i'd be interested, but not sure what I got for a credit. also, its automatic, you buy it and the first $5 of downloads is free without you needing to do somethign?
you'd think sprint could make this clearer....lol
