Is the only way to send text messages via the sprintpcs web page? Is there an email address that can be used to direct txt messages to my sprintpcs phone? I know there's the regular sprint email that can be acessed via my phone - but I'd like to be able to send text msgs's via email..

Welcome and no question is a stupid question... You can receive messages at your sprintpcs email acount (yourname@sprintpcs.com) and have them redirected to your phone. Log on to sprintpcs.com, go to your tools and then select PCS Mail. Then go into the settings section, choose '"notification" and select "forward to another email address". (The very first option). Then enter 1234567890@messaging.sprintpcs.com as the destination address, where 1234567890 is your actual PCS number. When I do this, the messages don't count against my 100 message limit, but when I choose the last (Forward to your PCS Phone) they do. Don't ask me why...
To send "text messages" from your phone without using the text message (SMS) interface, access your PCS Mail from your phone, then select "compose"... then send your message as a regular email. For Sprint users that would be 1234567890@messaging.sprintpcs.com. For Cingular users, 1234567890@mobile.mycingular.com... etc.
I believe I've seen a list that shows you how to address your "text message" emails to the different wireless companies, but you'll have to do some digging here to find it...
